Harrah's Council Bluffs

We stayed here to have an easy walk to and from the Taking Back Sunday and Third Eye Blind concert. We got one night in a king room (Wednesday night) and it was $200. When entering there is construction, but parking is still easy and accessible. The main lobby has major construction and has a walk around to get to the main desk. They only had one employee checking people in so the line did take a little bit but she was quick to get us our keys. The room was very underwhelming. The price you pay and the actual room you get do not match. I would expect this room to be 100 or less a night. There was water damage along the window. The pillows were very small, but the bed was comfortable. The sink did not drain well. The tub had rust and was very outdated. The toilet is very low to the ground, so if getting down and/or up is difficult I would not recommend. Overall, the concert and venue linked with Harrah's is amazing. Show was great. Hotel is not worth the time or the money and I would not recommend a stay.

If you come on a busy day make sure you don't get a room on the far end of the hotel away from the lobby. Their broiler isn't large enough to supply hot water to everyone. It has happened to me twice, where I stay there, and there is no hot water! Things have been getting progressively worse the last couple years. Amenities continue to fade or disappear entirely. If you are not a total rewards high roller then expect to pay resort fees on top of all the normal fees. They are understaffed so expect longer lines and wait times. They have also gotten rid of their valet parking. They no longer have a Laurel "diamond" lounge.

Like most casinos, don't expect to win any money. The rooms are nice and clean very friendly staff. the pizza place has great wings.

This is our 3rd trip to this casino where we have stay for a few night. The beds were very comfortable. Could use some full size pillows but all in all very comfortable. The rooms are a nice size. They could use a microwave in the room but the fridge was very cold. We were in the smoking room which was great. Just a few steps away from the casino. The rooms are a little out dated but its worth the trade to have a smoking room. It is only one of the very few hotels that offer smoking. I know people don't like to smell the smoke but there are still a lot of smokers out there who like to be able to enjoy a cigarette in the comfort of their room. The casino has smoking so why not offer the same privilege to enjoy the time you spend in your room. We use to stay at the Ameristar until they enforced a nonsmoking ban on their room which I thought was a perfect set up. They had the smokers on the top floor so nonsmokers didn't have to put up with the smell. Heck I'd even pay a cleaning deposit or extra for the room.self. is demand for smoking rooms in Council Bluffs because thise are rooms that fill up the fastest.. I alway make reservations months ahead to make sure i can get a room. So Harrah thank you from the bottom of my heart for letting me enjoy my stay. Im a business owner and time off is few. I don't get out often but we we do we want to be able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Please keep up the good work . The staff is also wonderful and very helpful. If I needed anything all I had to do was ask. Great place to go and the slots were hitting pretty good. My husband and I will be frequent customers. I definitely recommend. Again thank you!!!

Currently, renovations are underway, and is not an inconvenience. Rooms are cozy and comfy (114). Casino has latest games and table action.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Was disappointed in the food options as they are in transition of restaurants though what we had was very good. Room very clean. Casino smaller than I am used to but had some fun slots.

Check in went smoothly, and quickly!! We were informed that we needed to run the tub faucet for a while to get water warmed up, unfortunately that never happened, I took a very cold shower, my husband went without! Enjoyed everything else though! Hopefully next time we see improvement?

Came in warm left freezing 🥶 casino small All new video machines plenty of buffalo machines Keno really tight onwins nice atmosphere but payout is terrible you trade cleaner small casino for bad odds no cocktails in Vegas newer casino means machines loose beautiful cocktail waitresses and actually serve you a little more excitement I guess that's the price you pay for the niceties hotel rooms are very nice 10 plus but don't expect to take a shower the water never gets warm and it is coooold outside hotel employees and security very friendly and helpful only complaints are cold showers and tight machines could use a few more restaurants

The casino is still in the process of remodeling so there is some areas that are a bit messy. The rooms are in need of updating. The staff that did our check in were a bit cross & not the friendliest. A bit short. We got there around 4PM & several of the guest with us were told their rooms were not ready. One of them, a lovely lady in her 90's did not get her room till after 8PM & it may have been as late as 9:30! Our host Rebecca was absolutely fantastic! She saw that we were all taken care & was available anytime she was called. Over all it was a pleasurable trip & we will continue to stay here. Once all the updates are done it will be a 5 star casino & hotel!

Great location. Steak house on the top floor was perfect. Casino was amazing! So glad we stayed here. Hotel room was better than I thought. Great trip. Totally worth your time
