PODS Moving & Storage

PODS is a great service. It was great to have time to pack the POD before it was shipped. Each step of the process was simple, everyone we worked with along the way were very kind, knowledgeable, and courteous. Thanks for such smooth move.

I would give 5 stars but PODS billing can't seem to be able to refund my money on a container I didn't use. I've been assured on 3 different occasions I would get my refund 5-7 business days, and I'm going on a month now.

My family and I used PODS to move from FL to NE; everything was great and went as scheduled until it was time to get my stuff back. I received confirmation that my POD was scheduled to be delivered June 17th between 11:45 am - 2:45 pm. I was traveling to our new home and my husband was at work. I confirmed we did not need to be there and gave specific instructions for placement. My husband gets home and no POD was delivered, so we called and got nothing…we called them, not them calling us to tell us it was not delivered!!! We called again on Saturday and we’re told it is sitting at the La Vista facility waiting to be delivered. It’s 4 mins from our new house so my husband drives there gives the employee our POD # and he confirms our POD is not there. Meanwhile, I am told that it was there as of 6/10…lie 1. I am on the phone with a rep and was told the the GM, Lindsay from the facility will call me and let me know what happened and schedule a delivery on Saturday…nothing, no phone call. My husband calls and was told the pod is at that facility and then I called and was told it was not there. Then we are told that we have to wait to get a confirmation from their logistics team, which can only be contacted via email, and that can take up to 72 hours. Here we are Monday 6/20 and we’ve talked to 5 different reps, 1 manager, and no GM since Friday and NO ONE can tell us where our pod is or when it will be delivered….A logistics company cannot tell me where my stuff is, INSANE! We paid a hefty fee and entrusted them to deliver our entire home and to keep our items safe and all we get are run around and no one can tell us where our stuff is. So here we sit in a new state, in a new empty home, a family of 5 and no answer to where our stuff is….and they could care less. Please do not use them for your long distant move! I’ve got screenshots and call logs to whoever wants to see how they treat their customers.

Do not trust this company. They never showed with our POD and partially charged us $92.75. I called the 800 number and spent over 3 hours on the phone with 0 resolution. The next day I called again to try and get the POD delivered and was told they could not deliver it until May 25th. That is unacceptable when I ordered this in April. I lost money due to paying a company to come and move items that were non-refundable as well since I was not given any notice the POD would not be delivered as scheduled on May 12th. The 800 number called the warehouse in La Vista Nebraska and claimed they tried to explain to get them to make an exception but the warehouse refused to deliver the POD until the earliest May 25th. I asked for a manager and was not able to get anyone on the phone to assist. This company will take your money and leave you in a bad situation. They cannot be trusted. PLEASE BEWARE!!!!!! I hope this saves someone else the hassle we went through.

Phenomenal experience. Made moving so easy and convenient. Very kind people as well! The drivers were very helpful and communicative too.

This was one of the worst encounters with a modern (technology-supported) company I have ever had. I am beyond words as to how bad such a company can be. These guys have it all, a website not clear about the expectations, the system not able to change a simple pin number, communication between driver and company, and finally customer service and escalation not returning calls. If I could give this experience a negative star I would.

**Edit - After writing this review the Omaha representative got ahold of me and solved the issue** While using PODS for the first time the initial driver hit the power and cable lines going to my house. This ripped part of my soffit on the house and the lines needed to be reconnected. It's going on two months and I have not had any communication with a representative to fix this issue. It has taken HOURS to get ahold of someone on the phone and they were unable to give answers and would hang-up.

Excellent overall experience. The driver in Omaha was super helpful. Our stuff arrived when promised and the POD was taken away without a hitch. Couldn't ask for more!

I've used PODS for two moves across the country and both times have been overall positive experiences. I did have one issue, however, after I loaded the POD to get it ready for pickup, I was given a specific window of when it would be picked up. The driver came about 20 minutes before the window and was *incredibly* annoyed that I wasn't ready even though he was early. He ended up leaving and picking it up later but it was a pretty unpleasant experience in a sea of generally great experiences with drivers.

I have done many moves and this last move across country I used PODS for the first time. No other national moving company would service the small town I was moving out of. The pod was delivered efficiently and in good condition. I hired movers offered through the company. They were the fastest movers I ever used and did a wonderful job. The pickup of the pod went just as well. They stored my pod for months, and when I finally had local movers empty it, everyone on the customer service end was so polite. All questions I had were answered by knowledgeable and clear people on the phone. All drivers and people at the pod site were friendly and polite too. A little more expensive but to me worth it given how easy and thorough the process was and how well kept my belongings were.
