Avis Car Rental

Our travels to Omaha Nebraska was very exciting because it was our first time out in that area of the United States. We had a brand new Chevy Malibu rental car, it was very spacious and comfortable. Although we got a pretty good $ deal for the car rental with Priceline, we received a bit of a surprise when we went to pick the vehicle up at Avis and had to pay a bit more than expected. Please watch out for manager special deals make sure it is a car and not only a truck or SUV that they're trying to give you. I WAS ALSO CHARGED AN EXTRA DAY BECAUSE THEY SAID I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK A FEW MINUTES LATE, BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET THAT CREDITED BACK TO MY ACCOUNT.

I was charged an additional $82 for an additional day for dropping the car off 2hrs late. I tried to contact customer service and the phone just rang. Once I was able to speak to someone I was transferred and hung up on. I will never book with Avis again

I prepaid for a vehicle (mustang; convertible) they put me in a Ford Escape and said I'd be refunded the difference. I called customer service as directed, and the woman pleasantly initiated the refund. It was an otherwise convenient experience with Avis.

Renting from Avis was quick, fast and easy! I canceled a reservation that I had with Hertz after reading the fine print on the contract. Not only did I save over $200 by switching to Avis, but they only put a $250 hold on my debit card (Hertz wanted to put a $500 hold on my debit card). By saving money on the rental with Avis, it really allowed me to enjoy my trip to Western Nebraska.

It was a fantastically easy process, and honestly the most relaxing part of my trip. Picking up and dropping of the vehicle was a breeze!

Avis always has the cleanest cars. I love using their app. It makes renting a car stress-free.

When I first picked up the car everything went fine. Employees were great. The problems started when I tried to return the car when heading to my flight back home. I arrived around 4:30am. The woman at the kiosk originally told me that they had after hours drop off at that location which I verified again before dropping off, and again later when I had to call customer service because the gate to the drop off location was closed. Hertz gate was open, and budget gate was open. Avis was closed. I sat there for a little while wondering what to do so I finally called customer service. Customer service told me to try and find security. I asked repeatedly if it would be okay for me to leave the vehicle there to try and find someone and they avoided the question to avoid responsibility. So I hung up, at that point another customer pulled up trying to drop off their vehicle. I decided to walk around the building to try and find security, which there was none. I did however find someone who was picking up a vehicle that was LOCKED INSIDE the Avis section AND HAD BEEN THERE FOR HOURS. I called customer service again and they told me the same thing. Call security, I told them I wanted to speak to a supervisor and they said they would transfer me, which they didn't. At that point the second customer had left his vehicle outside the gate I called the airport garage customer service and they told me they had nothing to do with that gate and couldn't help me. By this time a THIRD customer returning their vehicle showed up. I again called customer service which again they told me to call security, at which point I completely lost my cool. They transferred me to a supervisor to a different department that told me they couldn't help me and that I would have to call customer service back again. THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT FOR THEM TO OPEN AND MISS MY FLIGHT. So myself and the third customer decided to leave our vehicles outside the gate to avoid missing our flights. Never again

The location at the Omaha airport car rental has a great staff from start to finish. Everyone was helpful, quick, and efficient.

Prepaid on line. Tank was only half full when picked up. Filled it before returning. When got emailed receipt, there was a fuel service fee that equaled filling half the tank. Obviously I paid for someone else's fuel usage. There was no mention of fuel charges to be made when picked up or dropped off or in original agreement as I told them I would cover the gas and there was no pre-pay agreement on fuel.. Very disappointed with Avis. Won't use again.

Rented from Avis at Omaha Air Port a Dodge Charger,I was served by a Sales Rep with quick and courteous service and was done within 10 minutes after authenticating my reservations.Upon returning the vehicle in Bullhead City,AZ I was immediately served by a very courteous Sales Rep and with the same procedure we finished the transaction of returning the rented car without any hitches.Been with other car rental Companies before and they are miles away when it comes to comparison with AVIS style of business.
