Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Don't usually leave a 1 star review, but when you travel somewhere and pre book everything and then arrive, and there more fees then what was said , and then no cars available, very bad experience

If there was any way Google would allow me to give this particular Enterprise less than 1 star, I would. Avoid them at all cost. Our company spent tens of thousands of dollars there renting multiple vehicles for two months. How were we rewarded for this? With two weeks left on the contract, they had three of the vehicles towed one weekend without any notice. Initially, the Norfolk Enterprise folks claimed they had no knowledge of the event. We had to file a police report just to find out what happened. The police had to bring our guys back all their belongings from the vehicles. To date, they still have not offered an explanation. The branch manager, Arin, refuses to accept any phone calls or return any emails. When we call , they put us on hold and he never comes to the phone. Tried calling Enterprise corporate customer service number and lodging a complaint. We were told our case had been elevated to a regional manager and to expect a phone call from them. That was 3 weeks ago. We will never use Enterprise again for anything. Do yourself a favor and use the Hertz counter there. Every time we went there to procure additional vehicles, they bent over backwards to help. Sort of what you expect when you spend that much money and certainly not to have your vehicles towed without notice.

Posting on Enterprise instead of National (partners) because that's who ultimately made this experience great! Shout out to Trey and his counterpart who saw I was clearly having scheduling issues with my car at 11 PM at night, clearly the last thing I needed was issues with the car that late at night after traveling. He immediately asked if I needed help and listened to the issue to help get it resolved asap! Very happy with my experience. Thank you!!

Our pick up was quick and without hassle. Got a very nice car for the money. We have used thus Enterprise/Alamo at Norfolk Airport several times over the last 4 years and always been very satisfied with the service and the vehicles. This time we were surprised to get a new Dodge Charger as our full sized sedan

I rented a compact suv. It was a one way rental. When I got there they tried giving me a pick up truck. When I told them this isn’t what I wanted the manager got rude and even told me I had to pay more. I called in a compliant but it didn’t matter not one person called to apologize. The only reason I even rented from them was because they are the only car rental in small town on eastern shore. I will forever use Hertz who bent over backwards to give me a car and accommodate a return location 2 miles from my destination. The closest return location was 52 miles away. Enterprise you need to figure out service. Nasty people at that counter and if I was the DM, I would at least call the customer to apologize for whatever communication error happened between reservation and the counter. Horrible, horrible service and thank you again Hertz.

Quick, easy,and fast service. The cars lack a good exterior cleaning prior to renting. E.g. exterior dirty mirrors and windows, some vehicles mechanical attention, had to turn back in one rental due to this.

If you forget an item in the car that is useful to whoever accepted your returned vehicle? Just forget about claiming it!! Chances are It's stolen by them!! Even though you come back the same day of return 3 hours later to retrieve them knowing for a fact you left it there!! Nobody gonna own up!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I brought four forms of identification, my confirmation and reservation number, and I paid in full at the time the reservation was made. The agent would not give me the keys to my vehicle because they said there was some identification glitch in their computer. The manager suggested I rent a car from a different company as there was nothing he could do. There was not even any discussion of reimbursement, rain check, refund, etc... Just, "... Your best bet is to go to a different location or rent from a different company...." WHAT THE HECK IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY A NEGATIVE 20 STARS I WOULD

I picked up our vehicle at the Norfolk airport, the lady behind the counter said it was better to prepay for the toll booth, so I did. She told me it was better to prepay for the gas, it was cheaper. Well, I got my bill and with all the added taxes alone was awful, worse than any rental company I have ever dealt with.. The prepay gas charge was a lot higher than what I could have filled it up for and they still tried to charge me for toll charges. I rent vehicles all the time, but usually with other companies, and now I see why, I will not use Enterprise again. I called customer service to complain and the foreign guy on the line laughed at me, he thought I was funny complaining. Enterprise is a joke and I will never use them again.

Our flight was delayed by 4 hours and arrived around 1:30 AM. Enterprise was still there waiting for us, and got us our car very quickly even though they were having computer issues at the time. Looking around, it looked like the other companies had gone home for the night (though Alamo/National customers could pick up the car from Enterprise I believe). The car itself worked great and had no issues, and the return process (at a different city) was also very smooth. I also love how easy and quick it is to pick up your car at Norfolk, it's much more of an ordeal at other larger airports.
