Urgent Pet Care Of Papillion

Brought my male cat in. They gave me an itemized list for a blockage in his urethra with the cost and they were honestly probably cheaper than the vet I would’ve taken him too (since it’s where I usually take my dog to). They kept me updated on everything through text. From how he was feeling/doing that day to any procedures being done that day and how much he was eating. This was the first time my cat has been away from home since he was 8 weeks old and while he didn’t want to eat much for them, they tried a variety of options to get him to eat rather than just giving up. I loved that they sent a photo of him as well. They were so helpful and now he’s doing so much better and is so happy to be home. I’m happy I didn’t wait any longer to take him. The staff was very friendly and walked me through every step that they’d need to do for my Ollie. They’ve been very helpful for my pets and my parents as well. I’m sure they don’t remember but they were very helpful when I came running into their clinic with my mom a few years back holding my family’s limp black lab in my arms after she had a seizure. While she did have to be put down (from old age), they were very quick to get us to the back and supported us as we stood by and said our goodbyes. I’ve had nothing but good experiences from this place and will use them in the future. Thank you guys for what you do!

This review is long overdue and I apologize for that. I know that urgent pet care clinics tend to get a bad rap due to costs, which always baffled me because it should kind of be expected with emergency care. Maybe some of them take advantage, but I had the complete opposite experience at Urgent Pet Care of Papillion. I brought my pup there in Jan 2021 after she had a major seizure. I was panic stricken. My mom had recently passed away after a prolonged illness during which time I had exhausted my savings, credit, and retirement fund in order to keep her home and care for her. The staff at urgent pet care were not aware of this, but I had about $300 to my name and was frantically applying for more credit and emergency loans while I waited in my car. Covid restrictions were in place at the time. I wish I knew the doctor's name, but sadly I do not. I was grieving the fresh loss of my mom and was in a high anxiety state because of my pup's situation so I do not remember and cannot find her name online. I do not have a receipt because this saint of a woman did not charge for the examination. The vet spoke to me by phone while I waited in the car and explained the examination she conducted and that she felt my pup was not in any immediate danger. She was patient and compassionate and also provided instructions on how to handle any additional seizures before our regular vet was open. Then she told me there was no charge. I was stunned. I would have gladly paid my last penny for the exam and consult. It doesn't matter to me if it only took a few minutes or whatever. They got my pup in, spent time on an exam, and took time to speak with and assure me. That is priceless. I hesitated to post this because I don't want other people to think this is something that should be the norm. I wouldn't have batted an eye if I was charged for a quick exam and conversation that day. It is a business and a damn stressful one at that. I am beyond grateful that I was not charged, but most importantly I am grateful for that doctor's kindness, compassion, and expertise. I live way out in West O, but I plan on heading to Papillion if need be due to the compassion and quality of care. I wish we could have that vet as our regular doctor. I believe the vet from that day is the one with the shorter brownish hair, glasses, and kind eyes (based on the website picture). Thank you so much for taking care of us that day. I will never forget it.

The urgent pet care in papillion saved my cat’s life. He became severely ill when i returned home from work one night. The next day I took him here and the vet working had explained he was suffering from chronic asthma (which my regular vet had told us was just allergies), an upper respiratory infection and they had also found out he was having heart issues unbeknownst to me or the vet he regularly sees. They were very understanding and accommodating during such a stressful and tough few days, broke down exactly what was happening with each x-ray and test they completed, and provided me with an itemized bill and lengthy invoice so I knew what was happening and why everything on the list was needed. He stayed in the urgent care overnight and the staff were very communicable while he was there and even sent photo updates letting me know my baby was okay. They were unable to pinpoint the exact heart issues my cat was having but gave me references to a specialist who would be able to further assist me. There is no where else I would recommend taking your animal for emergency care. Thank you guys for everything you did and treating my baby like one of your own!

Urgent Pet Care truly came through for me and my sweet girl. This facility was so knowledgeable and reassuring in such scary times. The team quickly brought my pet back and started treatment while ensuring I was informed every step of the way with treatment plans and outlined costs. Not only did the doctor call me frequently with updates but CONTINUES to do so after her discharge and work vigilantly to arrange follow-up appointments. No pet is falling through the cracks here! Overall the best experience and could not be more grateful to these amazing individuals!!! 10/10 would recommend.

Used them a few times over the years. Just recently had to use them for my new puppy who tried taking a treat from another dog. They were very nice and got us in immediately. Very thorough! Thankfully it wasn’t too serious but I knew he was in good hands.

Excellent customer service, I had an emergency with my 14 year old senior cat Sharapova and my regular vet was booked. I called Urgent Pet Care and they got me in immediately within an hour of my call. I explained cost was a concern because I'm currently unemployed and they were very upfront and honest about pricing as well as options of treatment. Lucky, after test/lab results it was just an issue that could be solved with medication. Sharapova gives Urgent Pet Care five paws 🐾 A few days later she is back to being her happy self! ❤️

I can’t thank Dr. Holbrook and the rest of the staff enough for their amazing care. I brought my cat Lenny in and Dr. Holbrook did what our regular vet and another emergency vet refused to do (put him under and actually look in his mouth) and was able to finally diagnose him with cancer that had progressed too far to be treated. She helped me make the best decision for him and let me be there while he was peacefully put to rest. She was so empathetic and caring. The cremation service they use is also fantastic. The whole experience was as good as it could be considering they were helping me through my worst nightmare.

Our kitty had been nauseous and vomiting for over a day, with his health history I called and was given an appointment soon after. From arrival to leaving the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and very sweet to my boy. He was also very comfortable with them which tells a lot. He was diagnosed with a UTI and taken care of. He is already feeling so much better not even 12 hours later. We will definitely come back if needed in the future. Prices were also very reasonable and everything is discussed up front by the doctor.

It is never a fun experience when you need to make an emergency vet trip. However, urgent pet care made a traumatic situation as tolerable as possible. Our reactive rescue pup cut his paw and needed stitches. Given that he is reactive, taking him to the vet is very stressful (for him and us). It is even more stressful taking him to a new and unfamiliar place. Urgent pet care handled our pup so well. They sent us a text when a room was ready so we could bring him straight into a room. They asked us about his reactivity and what his triggers were. They were very receptive to our dogs needs and did not test his tolerance. Mac never went over threshold during the time we were with him. They were also very kind and treated our dog with kindness and assertiveness and not fear. This whole experience was definitely the most positive it could be under the circumstances. Thank you for taking care of our special little man.

It's great in the fact it's open late and on the weekends. Just know it is really just a urgent care. There's only so much they can do here but if your pet needs attention right now and it's Sunday or later at night then it's a great option. If your pet ends up needing something they can't handle, like a surgery then just know you may have to find someone who can. But for what they can do they were great when our dog needed them. The staff was helpful and understanding during a stressful time.
