Kona Grill - Omaha

Last time we were there, food was extremely sub par. I used to love this place around 2015. Went back November of last year (2022) and will never be back. Only reason I’m leaving a review now is because I googled “best sushi in Omaha” and this came up first LOL no thanks In response to your reply- last year was less than 2 months ago. Let me specify, November of last year. And you’re right, leaving the review was priceless!

Went here for date night and had Amanda as our server. Such amazing service which is why we keep coming back! Food came out fast and the best steak we’ve had! Definitely recommend!

Madison M was our server and she was so friendly and didn’t hesitate to discuss the menu and the holiday specials. She was spot on with the suggestions. After a long day of Christmas shopping Kona is the place to have lunch and dinner! Love this place 5 🌟 …

Made a reservation for my son’s birthday. We arrived early and waited 30 minutes for a table. While waiting at the bar, we spent over $30 on two rather small margaritas. Nine of us were asked to cram into a booth. Waitress was friendly but we could tell from the beginning she was overworked and the restaurant was understaffed. She had little chance to be successful. Food was very overpriced and was average. The final negative was we waited 30 minutes to close our check. Dinner took 2.5 hours from arrival to departure. Great if you are tracking cost per minute I suppose. We had a similar experience two years ago but thought we’d try Kona again. Bad call. Bottom line is even though the employees were nice, Kona’s operation can be summed up as overpriced and underwhelming. We really hope they fix their model as Kona used to be one of our family favorites.

Kasey and Jackson were great servers they helped so much and were so nice. They were always checking on us. They were very helpful and patient with us. I hope to have them again as our servers. They made our trip to Kona a great one.

Amanda did a great job! It was a busy night, but she was cheerful and attentive to our table. We would definitely ask for her next time we were in.

If I could give 0 out of 5 stars for my dining experience tonight I would. It took over an hour to get our food when it normally takes 15 minutes. Our server ignored us the entire time and never explained, apologized, or even came back to refill our drinks once during that hour. Honestly we thought our server walked out. When we finally got our food it was all cold and we never saw a manager. I’m normally very pleased with Kona but I don’t know if I would go again after my experience tonight.

We came here to celebrate our daughter's 10th birthday. Amazing experience!! We could order from the Happy Hour menu as well. Jermaine our server was very professional, friendly, and very attentive. To talk about the food; as you can see in the pictures- the presentation was excellent and it tasted wonderful!![

Listen, the martini was good. Nothing else was worth what it was priced. The poke bowl is $24 and didn’t fill me up one bit. It was all rice. My boyfriend liked the burger but again, it wasn’t worth the price.

We had a great time! Ordered the Korean 5-spice ribs and the cilantro lime chicken. Both were delicious and provides promptly! Amanda did a great job serving us!
