I called at the last minute to get my hair braided. KoKo answered the phone and told me she can get me in. I asked if she needed anything she replied coffee....I got there and Nancy was waiting for me. She was very polite, took her time on my hair where it was cut short. No braids have fallen out and I got A LOT of compliments on my hair in Denver! It's a very clean environment also! I will be back and Thank you Soooo much Nancy!

I found these ladies on Google, I was able to get a short notice appointments and when I was there they even took walk-ins. I'm tender-headed and when I expressed this to the lady doing my hair she did everything she could to minimize the discomfort from my new braids. Very friendly and accommodating. I'd recommend them to any of my friends and I would definitely go back once I get over my tender-headedness. Update* The downside is after taking my braids out after about two months I was shocked to discover that my hair which had been growing pretty steady was uneven from being cut. I can only conclude that the strands that were cut were the pieces of hair that may have been sticking out of my braids when the hair style was completed. Now the center of my head is about an inch long (about 2.5 inches short than when I started). My edges had also been snatched by too much pulling they're just now looking full again. The intent of getting the hairstyle was to give me a break from putting my hair in buns for work and styling it myself. this style was supposed to help me maintain my length but actually allow me to grow more hair than I had when I went in just by me keeping my hands out of my hair. What I got when I took my hair down was a complete and utter nightmare. So now I'm back to where I was about four years ago with hair that I cannot style for work.I'm also relegated to wearing braids until my hair gets back to the length that it was before I showed up to the shop. when I expressed this to some people that I know from the base I was told that this shop wasn't a place that I should've gone to which wasnnews to mme.Even though the hairstyle was pretty and the ladies there were very courteous I'm actually really disappointed that instead of trying to figure out a way to just gel down the hair that came out of the braids she cut it off. All I can say is buyer beware.

I had my hair braided at KoKo's Salon and it was a great experience! I got 2 rows of corn rows. My braids were neat and she finished rather quickly (2 hours ). I must say I will be frequenting her shop in the future.

I must say I am very happy with my experience. Coming from Chicago most of the native African hair braiders are very rude. That is not the case with koko's they were very sweet and they listen intently and tried to understand even though English is not their native tongue. I don't understand what the other reviews were talking about and I must admit that they had me a little nervous. They are not true atleast during my visit. Update: it hasn't even been a week yet and my braid are very fuzzy like they have been up for months. I am very disappointed. The parts of my braids aren't neat and therefore my hair is pulling very hard in certain spots and it is very painful and uncomfortable. I will not be going back. These things are not supposed to happen when you pay 180$ for a "professional".

Great place my 94 year old mother got her hair braided. The stylist was very patient and professional with her. Her hair turned out beautifully. I would have given them a 5 if they took credit cards. They only except cash.

I've been going to KoKo's for about a year now. They are absolutely wonderful! I always leave satisfied. I went in today and they took more than half of my hair down( micros), washed it, and put micro braids back in. I arrived at 7:45 and left around 2:30.

Thank you Koko and the whole team at the shop for doing such a great job on my hair. I'll make sure I wait for you next time so you don't have to fix another person's bad work. I'll be seeing you soon. I would recommend that you get your braids"Slayed" at Koko's! Thanks again for everyone at the shop🙌👍 …

I wanted KoKo to do my hair because I saw the job she did on my aunt. I was told to show up at 8am and I got sat with a different hairdresser because she was busy. I asked for 2 feed in stitch braids style and got the complete opposite. Disliked my hair and immediately took it down. The lady over used gel & pomade product so my hair was slimy. She repeated multiple times that she didn’t know how to deal with long natural hair while doing my hair! She kept taking down and re-braiding 1 braid over and over while yanking and ripping out my hair with a small tooth comb. My head was so tender afterwards and it over all was NOT worth it. The lady was very sweet and apologetic and all. African braiders specialize in textured hair though so I don’t understand that part. I work in the service industry so I tip well regardless. They make you pay up front, but I wouldn’t have given such a large tip.

They allowed me to make a last minute appointment. I was acknowledged soon as I walked through the door. They promptly had me getting washed and then placed under a dryer. Briads came out awesome and I have recommended them to my friends and coworkers.

I visited Koko for the first time 2 months ago and got box braids. I LOVED my experience there! All the girls were nice to me and listened to my needs and concerns (I'm tender headed). Hair is included in the price and I went on a slower day, so my braids only took 3 hours, start to finish! I am taking them down today, but have been getting compliments on them left and right for the past two months! They stI'll look amazing! If you are looking for gifted hands visit Koko! I will definitely be reaching out to her again when I want my hair braided! :)
