Garbo's - Midtown

UPDATE: Kristen has since brought her talents to Five Salon, which is a truly incredible salon experience! Kristen is absolutely phenomenal. She is hands - down Garbo's best asset when it comes to being a premiere hair salon. She is very open and friendly and her intuition with hair is incredible. It is impossible to go to her and not walk out without being completely in love with yourself! She has such a deep knowledge on how to bring out any woman's (or man's!) inner self. I've never felt more beautiful - inside and out! - than after seeing Kristen. She truly has an incredible talent that EVERYONE should experience!

I went to Krissy for my wedding makeup and hair and absolutely loved the results. Krissy made the process to easy and free of stress and I felt absolutely stunning on my big day. I will absolutely be returning to Garbo's for all my hair and makeup needs in the future!

Jessica did an amazing job with my fade and haircut. You can tell she has actually worked in a barbershop and knows what she is doing. She has great stories and can hold a conversation throughout the haircut. She is knowledgeable about haircuts and knows what she is doing! I would highly recommend her!

After going a year without a hair cut, I wasn't sure where to go to be completely satisfied with the results. After looking at the Best of Omaha website, I decided to go to Garbo's in Midtown since it had good ratings and was close to my home. I called over at 9 am on Saturday morning, and had my appointment at 11:30 the same day. My stylist was Nate, and he was FABULOUS. He listened to all of my ideas and wants, and made it happen. He was personable, friendly, and very professional. My hair looks and feels incredible, and I will definitely be a repeat customer at this salon. P.S. I grew up in a small town where haircuts were $10 and you went to the same person since kindergarten. The money that I paid for this haircut/style was worth every penny. The quality of the work and the products used were fantastic, and well priced for the Omaha area.

I have extremely curly hair and went in with a friend to get her hair done. I decided to ask about getting mine done since I would be sitting there for a long time, and I needed to get it all thinned anyway so I asked them if they had anyone available who could cut a curly-haired girls hair for that time. They said that the girl who did best with curly hair was completely available! I said great and they sat me down with her, before I knew that she was cutting my dry curls, she cut about an inch and a half off. Dry. she basically cut all my length and didn't even thin it. So now I have a small fro and it will not grow back to the length that it had been for another two years. My advice to any other people with curly hair: do not come here.

Thank you Dominique for a great service. The shampoo, cut and blowout was a complete sensory experience. All of the products smelled amazing, Domininque gives a really good scalp massage, and explains all of the products and techniques she used to complete the cut. She is very thorough and made sure everything was just right before I left. She wrote down all of the products she used, and educated me about the benefits each of them, plus offered some tips for styling. The salon itself is easily accessible, and aesthetically pleasing. Great experience overall!

My partner and I both had color and haircuts with Kelsey in June of this year. Our experience at Garbo's was excellent! The quality experience began with the appointment booking, discussion of what we were wanting and the quality of cut and color. Our stylist made contact with our home stylist in Kansas City to confirm a few items about color, which was appreciated. Awesome customer service! Great hair cuts! They offer to cover the cost of your parking up to 2 hours. With a great selection of other shops around, this location has a lot to offer. You can enjoy a nice lunch/dinner at leadbelly or dive into a love it of cold stone ice cream!

Love the cleanliness, friendliness, and accommodations at this salon but especially love Shalma! Shalma takes care of my entire families hair which is such a time saver for me but also shows her skills! I have two boys with completely different textures and styles of hair along with my husband’s tight curls and my ever changing requests. She goes above and beyond for every service. Between her professional opinion, great personality, and phenomenal skills consider us forever clients!
