Garbo's - Midtown

I heard that this was one of the best salons in town, so I went in the day before to inquire if they could do a very specific cut for the person I would be bringing in. I was very detailed when describing this. They assured me that it would be no problem. The next day when we sat down for the haircut they proceeded to do something totally other than what I had requested the day before. There was no finesse or care involved. We were both incredibly dissatisfied with the results of the haircut. I would not recommend this establishment.

Abby is awesome! Not only does she do a beautiful job on my hair, she is friendly and kind and enjoyable to chat with. Her hair is always some fun & different color, so that inspired me to finally try some pink in my blonde hair...it turned out so great & I love it! I get lots of compliments. Thanks again, Abby!

I showed my stylist many reference pictures of the style I wanted (pixie cut in the back getting longer in the front like a bob) and she for some reason immediately shaved the back of my head (none of my reference pictures even had that) without asking. I usually part my hair to the side but made it clear I only wanted my hair cut while it was in a middle part—which she complied until she suddenly switched my part (I thought she was done) and started cutting again. I left the salon feeling angry and had three meltdowns because of the back of my head looked terrible and it was so unevenly cut in the front because of how she did the opposite of what I asked. $40 wasted, would not recommend.

I went in for a deep conditioning with Heidy a few weeks ago, and it was amazing. Not only is she the sweetest, but I left looking and feeling great about my hair. She styled it and even taught me some home care tips to make my natural frizzy, wavy hair so silky and soft.

I went here for my anniversary gift, got manicures and pedicures with my boyfriend by Kelly and another really nice lady! I also got my hair done by a girl named Kelsey. She did awesome! And we clicked! I never talk to any of the people who style my hair! I will definitely be back! Already planning on it for my uncle's wedding!

Nikki Daley's sublime hairstyling did it again, I received one of the best haircuts yesterday at Midtown Garbos Salon. As a guy in a car repair facility to receive compliments... that means something! The experience was professional, relaxing, and very enjoyable. Nikki is entertaining and her scalp massage alone is worth more than the valued price. I highly recommend her services.

Had such an awesome time! Both me and my sister got our hair done from Audrey and Theresa and they were great and gave us lots of styling tips! (Plus they also have the best tea:))

Kinda bummed that my first experience with this location turned out the way it did. I booked my appointment more than 24 hours in advance and let the receptionist or host know that I had extensions in my hair. I always share this in the event the stylist doesn’t have experience or doesn’t feel comfortable styling extensions which is totally understandable. The stylist I see at the Oakview location is great! However, my appointment was booked and I was told that that was just fine. Upon arrival this afternoon I was checked in, sat down and then called up about five minutes later to be informed that the stylist was not able to style me today. This is very disappointing news as I booked this appointment over my lunch hour and have a flight for a pageant event this evening...now I have no options to have my hair styled and wasn’t told in advanced... while the receptionist was apologetic, this could have been avoided with better communication.

I would not recommend this salon for your special events, particularly wedding day. I submitted a list for my bridal party, they confirmed the reservation, but on the big day some of the bridesmaids did not show scheduled. I asked for a 10mins time adjustment since there was a flight delay on my party but instead of providing flexibility, they decided not to wash my (the bride’s hair) and proceeded with styling my hair that way. I wish we would have left the salon instead of accepting such poor customer service, but we were just shocked and stressed. Don’t add more work and stress to your big day, you’ll have plenty to worry about.

Samantha has been styling my hair since I moved to Omaha 2 years ago. She is fantastic! She listens, gives excellent recommendations, is super professional and is so much fun to talk to. I highly recommend Samantha and Garbo's at Midtown Crossing.
