North 40 Chophouse

We had an absolutely lovely dinner last night at North 40. The food, the hospitality, and the ambiance were amazing! Every attention to detail added to the experience. Thank you to the staff and management for the gracious appetizer and desserts and thank you so much to Ambria Vieyra for the amazing service! We truly enjoyed our dinner!

This place was quite a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend. We drove across country and this came up on search. What a find. Food was great. Ambiance was great. People and service were great. Very enjoyable experience. The manager Dan and our server Desiree made our evening there special. Right there in little ole North Platte Nebraska!

Overall, a nice meal. We did not like and could not even eat the salads. Too much dill in the ranch dressing and the vinaigrette was way too tart. Steak was good, but under seasoned. Salmon and vegetables were good. Thought the service was a little slow and the server was not familiar enough with the menu.

Last night was our first time dining here. We had the best experience from walking in the door to leaving. The filet mignon melted in my mouth like butter. I got the cheesy potatoes and they were also mouth watering. We got a complimentary sparkling wine tasting for our first time being there. Our server was so knowledgeable about the entire menu. We will definitely be back and we HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. So glad we have a nice steakhouse in North Platte.

Desiree was the best waitress. She made us feel so special and welcome. The steak was wonderful! Highly recommend stopping in North Platte to experience this wonderful place.

Staff were very professional, crab cakes OUTSTANDING! Service was great. I didn't want to complain because we were celebrating a birthday but I did not get the steak I ordered but it was still good. I have one suggestion. I feel this is an up scale restaurant there for I think all staff should wear the exact same uniform. I looked on line and shirts are no more than 15 each. I think bar staff should be in vests and bow ties. All these are very reasonable and cheaper than you can get at Walmart. They have long sleeve for fall and winter ,short sleeve for spring and summer. I think you should look into it. The atmosphere calls for it.

Bread and the Gratineed potatoes were amazing, but the Signature Cocktails were not consistent and did not taste the same from the first drink to the next. The steak was so burnt and black on the crust that each bite had a burnt charcoal taste, and there very little pink. Service was amazing and the server did take off the price of the drinks. Also for some reason half way through the meal they turned the music so loud our table had problems talking to each other. For the price of the meal I would not recommend North 40 at this time until some of the issues are fixed.

Amazing service! Super friendly staff! Clean! Amazing atmosphere!

Good food, not better than other high-end steakhouses, but priced higher than the national renowned Ruth's Chris, Shula's and the like. This is not some 4 star like Jeff Ruby's or Bourgeoisie Denver joint. Just too high prices for what you get. Good food, but not worth the money. Cedar Room is way better value and just as good. Nice to visit, but wouldn't go back.

Honestly you come to a nice place like this and spend the money you do you'd think the servers would treat you well. A waitress literally hit my mother because she thought we were talking about her. Which we weren't at all. Very disappointed in this place.
