Motel 6 North Platte, NE

This is a smoking motel. My non-smoking room was 15 feet from the smokers stairwell and 20 feet from the outside door where they smoked by holding the cigarette out the door, bringing it in to puff then putting it back outside. I was told the smokers had a "right" to smoke at that doorway. About 1am I opened the upstairs window and closed the stair door. I was told they became too cold with the window open and if the door was kept closed it was impossible for them to breath upstairs. This is not somewhere to stay if you are a nonsmokers. Two other places in town are completely non-smoking and have the same rate.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Room smells like wet dog, mattress is springy and terribly uncomfortable, and worst of all, it seems the room was hardly cleaned. The fridge is streaked with stains, toilet bowl is dirty, and the bathroom floor is covered in toilet paper pieces and loads of hair. Totally disgusted. Nerve wracking staying here during a public health crisis. Especially if you’re traveling with a family, KEEP ON GOING. Better to sleep in the car.

The staff was very friendly and kept the motel clean. I was quarantine here for covid . I had a good experience considering. I can't say enough about the staff.

Was open and attendant pleasant when we pulled in at 2:30 am. Room was clean and much better than we remembered Motel 6s of yesteryear. Just what we needed for the 4 hour rest before continuing our road trip

Very accommodating and the hospitality is top knotch. I was only traveling through but they staff recommend food and entertainment during my stay. I never would have thought I would mark North Platte on my map of vacation destinations until now.

Good experience overall. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We ended up in a wheelchair accessible room (my mistake- didn't double check my reservation) which was a bit harder to navigate (aka- bed was pushed against the wall, shower had a seat in it which took up extra space, etc). 4 stars because I hoped the room would have been bigger. You get what you pay for.

Rooms were okay, but very dirty! There was sticky stuff all over the floor and hair stuck into the sticky substance! The bathroom was very dirty and still had some soap from the last guest who stayed there. The decor was pretty nice for the price of the hotel. The cleanliness was horrible! I wouldn’t stay here again because of it. The staff was amazing and so helpful with any issues and questions. It offered breakfast online and there was no breakfast that we could find.

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are very nice and the staff is awesome. Kelly at the front desk was so friendly, courteous and helpful. She went out of her way and we appreciate it. They also support Vets! This is a very good place to spend the night and save $$.

The rooms were nicer than the exterior of this motel made it look like they'd be. The staff was friendly and the premise was clean. I would stay there again.

Our stay here was inexpensive and we got what we paid. We booked a non smoking room and received a smoking room. "Only one left tonight!" They did offer us a bottle of air freshener! Our room was dark but it did have several lights. It wasn't the lights fault! It is hard for a light to illuminate when a couple of the lights didn't have bulbs. There is a reason for its low rating and inexpensive price. I have received a response from the Motel 6 staff thanking me for my review. Their response was friendly and professionally written. They wrote they would look to make improvements
