Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Terrible, I reserved a car to rent using my debit card. I arrive to pick it up and they claim they called saying I needed a utility bill. They quote my number as if that's proff they called. I had no voice mail and no missed calls from them. My utilities are all included in my rent so I was unable to rent a car which I needed to visit my terminally ill son.

Nice staff, however, the first time I rented there I was given a Ford Fusion basic package. It smelled like smoke, literally like a bar full of bikers rode around 4th street in north platte smoking marlboros. I reported this and the lady genuinely seemed shocked that someone would smoke. I was given another fusion but had to pay four dollars more a day for this. Apparently I have to pay for their failure to clean their vehicles properly. The second (and hopefully last) time I rented, I was told on the phone that a fusion would be available for me on a monday morning. I walk in at 745 (15 minutes after opening) and there was no fusion. The person argued that I was mistaken. Oh well. The next vehicle was fairly new but already had a giant brown stain on the passenger seat and the carpet honestly wasn't clean to begin with. I return the vehicle with several pieces of candy stuck on the carpet from a two year old child and am informed I will have to pay $100 to have it detailed. Sadly, North Platte does not have many choices, so this is about the best you can do.

My insurance company reserved a car for me after an accident. They are not open on the weekends (my accident was a Saturday). I called Monday morning the minute they opened and was told they had 16 OTHER reservations and no cars. She was apologetic and I realize it probably isn't the fault of the person who answers the phone, but 16 reservations and no cars? Who's in charge??

Won't be going back. Went in a booked a car (North Platte) to go to Denver for a flight and went in to pick and they said they had no car for me. caught them in a lie and said they did not have any due the weather and all the hail damage. Went back in and they said they had no car because they over booked. Asked if I could take one of the other cars they had and they said no.

Called Enterprise several weeks before memorial day to reserve a car for Memorial day. Two days before I am supposed to leave on vacation and celebrate with my fellow military veterans Enterprise calls to inform us that someone else gets our car and we get nothing. As a veteran of 3 wars and 21 years service I now know where a veterans priority stands with Enterprise. I dont know if treating people like me is a riot for this corporation but do you realize it's impossible to find a different car 2 days before memorial day. Be warned if you you dont measure up to Enterprise you might find yourselves stranded on a holiday... FYI my wife contacted them but they refused to talk to her and claimed they would contact me over this. Which they never did......

Don't expect them to hold a car if you make a reservation. I had a reservation over a week in advance and they called 15 hours before my reservation to tell me they didn't have a car. There wasn't enough time to make other arrangements because it was late afternoon when they called. Don't plan a road trip, reserve a hotel, or make any appointments if you need a car from them because they do not know how to honor reservations.

We rented a compact car to go to my brother's in Kansas for Thanksgiving, we picked it up on Wednesday morning and the guy that helped us was very friendly and even came out to show us all the controls on the car (wipers, lights, back up camera, etc.) We got the Nissan Versa, and it was fabulous!! Very comfortable for the two of us, was very clean and did wonderful on gas mileage. They had satellite radio in the car which was great for our road trip, it also had Bluetooth and cruise control which came in handy on the way down there. We had icy and snowy roads coming back, and the car did great on all that too, we got back later than expected so got charged an extra day, but all in all it was worth it. Will definitely rent from them again for our next road trip!!

The employees at Enterprise in North Platte made accommodations which allowed me to fulfill important obligations. They are always great in the customer service department. I wouldn’t use any other car rental company.

This is the first time that I have rented a car. Overall my experience was excellent. From customer service to the condition of the vehicle I couldn't have asked for more. I rented my vehicle from the North Platte location and I don't directly with Andrew. I'm very pleased with my experience.

Awful. Made a reservation over a month before we arrived. We were first told there were no cars currently available. We were given a 4hr time frame for a car to be available. Four hours turned into six. Six hours turned into 24 hours. Are you serious? A nation wide company, who claims to care about the clients, has zero cars available until 24 hours after our reservation? Fine. Adjustments were made. Fast forward a full week. We missed our flight because there is one taxi in town and we weren't allowed to turn the car in at the airport. The taxi passed us, while waiting at a closed Enterprise, turning in the car, to pick up the pilots of our flight. The pilots refused to let the taxi swing back for us, causing us to miss the flight. Not the fault of Enterprise, but a caring company, who offers to "pick you up", should be able to offer us a ride or let us leave the car at the airport and pick it up later. We finally make it back to Enterprise, in hopes of getting the car back, drive to the nearest major airport and take a different flight. Here is where you really disappointed me. We were first told we would have to wait 5 to 6 hours before we would be helped. There were 24 reservations scheduled ahead of us, giving us this insane wait time. All we want is to extend our original reservation with the same vehicle. The keys are literally in the dropbox bag, yards away from us. The same associate who delayed our original reservation due to zero available cars, is now not sure if that is possible. We bring up the original debacle and she immediately gets defensive and angry. Now I am crying and my husband is furious. After already not adhering to your contract with us, she is behaving like a child instead of taking the initiative to truly right a wrong. Zero compassion and outright disdain that we are even asking. She did lower the mileage cost for us. That was all. A better, more compassionate offer should have been zero charges up to leaving the tank full. Absolutely ridiculous that after the original debacle, she managed to make back what she lost last week. We have purchased 2 vehicles through Enterprise in the last 10 years and we will never make that mistake again. You have competitors and they now have our business.
