Blue Spruce Motel

My kids and I are finishing a 9 day cross country road trip from Utah to Alabama and home. We have stayed in many different types of hotels. Most of what I booked were much more expensive with more advertised ammenities. I can’t even tell you how many times the higher priced “name brand” let us down during this trip. The Blue Spruce Motel is definitely the cheapest I booked and it is one of the very best. I’m really glad I trusted the online reviews and gave this little gem a try. It may look like a old motel on the outside, but it’s charming, immaculately clean and is run by the owners (which I think makes a big difference.) The attention to detail is amazing. If ever back in the area, we will definitely stay here!!!

I called and the owner booked me a room for the following Sunday and took my credit card number to hold it. I arrived at 6PM the following Sunday only to be told the room was not available. First they asked if its was an online booking or a call as if that should matter. I was turned away with no where to go after driving all day. On top of it, she said she was sick and had no mask on. Don't go here or trust this place!

I have stayed at the Blue Spruce several times in recent years. They are so friendly and welcoming! Many of the rooms are carefully decorated like guest rooms in a family home.

Very comfortable bed. Bedding. Clean room. Weird they don't give a real toilet seat. 10 bucks. And shower tub was kinda dirty and water wouldn't drain

My fiancé and I have stayed her multiple times during our trips to and from Chicago, the owner has been amazing each time, one time we had gotten into some traffic and ended up getting in later than expected and the owner worked with us and make sure we could still get a room!

Car broke down and we got stranded the night before thanksgiving. We stayed while the car got fixed. Extremely nice people, super clean rooms, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn’t know what to expect but I sure glad we stayed here!!!!!!!! 10/10 stars thank you

We were at the end of a long cross country road trip at needed a last minute, inexpensive, basic bed and shower room. Got the last room here and sure wasnt expecting a 60" tv and new flooring. At 50.00 a night we were thrilled. Good wifi and location. Bed was wonderful. Very clean. The owner Cheryl is super nice. I believe this place stays pretty solidly booked with regulars. Would definitely stay here again.

Quite pleasant--and excellent for the price! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the service was friendly, and the location was quite convenient. The only drawback is that the wifi gave up the ghost around 6 pm and did not return to working order by the time I left the following morning. Given that the TV was all through a Roku, this was pretty annoying.

Blue Spruce feels as though you are staying with family at their cozy and welcoming home! I was immediately greeted with a warm smile by the friendly owner! She and her family know just what it takes to operate a business and have done so for over 20 years and they do an excellent job at it. Our room's cool central a/c was a welcoming feature with triple digit heat outside. Our bed was comfortable and the room included a refrigerator, personal safe, microwave, desk, ceiling fan and a box fan for those who need "white noise" to snooze to (myself included). I'd rather stay here than Hilton or Marriott any day of the week. Lagniappe: The owner will also give you her personal number if you should need anything whatsoever during your stay. I can't believe any negative review, for they MUST have the wrong place or they just didn't want to have a good stay?! This is a budget friendly - no frills -hotel but it is a VERY clean and accommodating one. I highly recommend staying here and will certainly return for any future stay(s) in North Platte, Nebraksa.

The Room was extremely clean (without the normal hotel cover up smells!). The beds were very comfortable, decorated nicely, felt like I was home! I would definitely stay again and recommend to others! Staff is very friendly.
