Be Ware! Heres the long synopsis. I buy a new car every 5 years, and i buy it around 4 years old. Im 54 ive been doing this for about 30 years. Never ever have i had an experience like this in my 30 years of car buying. I bought a 2018 GMC sierra from them at a price of 38,600, about 45,000 after tax and warranty. They told me it was fully inspected. Theres a presumption and a large amount of good faith that happens(when a salesman ,Jarek, tells you its been inspected) that the car operates as it should.When i test drove the truck with the salesman i noticed a vibration coming from upfront. Which the salesman stated he thought it was the lane warning system. I believed him since he told me it was inspected. On the drive home i called him and told him it was still vibrating. He told me to bring it in and they will take care of it. So i brought it back in, turns out they wanted to use the warranty i just purchased to pay for the repair. I was shocked, i find that unethical so i left. I brought it to the dealership i use here. Turns out, it needs new breaks all around and new front struts, about 4800 worth of work. Which i just paid for yesterday. On top of that they put on the wrong tires, new tires but not best for that truck, what ever. I called them, told him about the struts and i felt they should repair them. I spoke with a manager, he gave me every BS line not to be responsible, again i was in shock. I made another wrong assumption, that is , he would feel responsible to take care of it. 45,000 total is a lot for a used truck, i assumed ( again i was wrong) that i would get the type of service im used to getting over the years at other dealerships in the cities. The manager i spoke with had a classic used car salesman demeanor, the type youd see in an old 70s movie. Full of excuses and BS. So here it is, i semi-retired around 30, ive bought many many many types of cars and trucks. I have the experience to know that this is less than average service. I was duped, and deceived. Ok, that happens, fortunately i can absorb the cost of repairs to my truck. Heres my response to them. I will continue trusting and believing in people, thats how i choose to live my life and thats what i teach my son. These people will stay this way, bending the truth, slightly deceiving good people, thats their life. Thats how they live. Second, i guarantee them that Myself, my friends family , business acquaintances , and everybody they know will never shop there or at any of their affiliate dealerships. I have an enormous amount of spare time, i will devote some time to get this message across. Lastly, this is why i posted this. To me this wasnt just a truck purchase, this was an event im lucky enough to be able to have every 5 years. In closing, im Begging the dealership not to make a mindless, baseless, empty, silly, insulting to my intelligence, response! P.S. Just read through google reviews going back 6 years. This type of poor sales service for used cars is regular practice for them. Most of the positive reviews are for New car Sales.

The owner, Doug Erickson is a fraud… Doug claims his dealerships to be faith based and have Christian values but they practice slimy sales tactics and are completely dishonest. Shame on you Doug for gaining the trust of people though a shared faith and then taking advantage of them. Avoid Hastings Ford and Hastings Chrysler!

Bought a vehicle and was sold a warranty that they told me would cover it and 3 months later the engine blew and I come to find that the warranty company denied me and the dealership was unwilling to help with any repairs. I was completely ignored. I was completely unsatisfied with service department, financing department and the management.

My 2016 Ford Escape had an issue with the shift mechanism that was under recall. I had maintenance scheduled, but the part actually failed a Friday evening. I was able to be fit in, unscheduled, on Saturday and had the vehicle back that afternoon. A car company should "own" a vehicle problem when it their doing, and the this was evident in their responsiveness in fixing my vehicle. PS - This is the first time I actually experienced an issue that prompted a recall. If you ever have a recall notice, don't delay in scheduling repair. We were lucky it happened in a convenient spot. This might not alway be the case.

They charged me $200 to drive my car around till my gas tank was empty to get my engine light to come on. Then told me that this was diagnostics. The day before when they called me to ask if that was OK they never once said That this was diagnostics or that I would be charged $200 for this if I would’ve known I was going to get charged $200 for some one to drive my car around for a day to get my check engine light to come on I would have said no . They need to do a better job at explaining, and they need to include prices. If they we’re going to do anything, they are not completely transparent. My coolant levels were not low, because I had to put coolant in because it WAS very low before coming to you.

Zach and Alan were the best. Not only did they help me figure out how to get my car home, they gave me a loaner car cause my car needed a blower motor as it went out right as I finished purchasing the vehicle. Go figure. But at no charge to me I was able to get it fixed and have a car to get home.
