Texas Roadhouse

The wait was LONG, but the state fair was in town. So, was to be expected. The food was excellent and our waiter did a great job. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu.

My family of 5 came in for dinner on Sept. 3rd around 6:00pm. As to be expected they were very busy and that is completely understandable. The problem came when when approached the desk to place our name on the waiting list. I smiled at the attendant and asked how she was doing. She made eye contact and then rolled her eyes at me and looked back at her coworker. In astonishment to her response I told her I was trying to be polite. She looked right at me and said nothing but rolled her eyes again. My family left and went down the street to Applebee's and had a lovely me with friendly staff.

Food was a little long to get to us. The waiter Daniel did the best he could. It was busy. My steak was overcooked but had a very good flavor. They did offer to get me another one but I declined.

They actually did a really nice job on the steak and it was very good. Seasoned well and cooked appropriately. The only issue I have with it is that they jam so many people in there we couldn't even hear the waiter. Need to do something about sound suppression.

I went in during a busy Saturday night and I can accept that my food and drinks are going to take some time to be delivered out to my table. What I can’t accept is that after waiting 30 minutes and getting a borderline raw burger and 8oz fillet steak (supposed to be medium rare and medium). When I raised the issue with the waitress she said I can either have them microwaved or have the steak be taken off (bc the rare hamburger looked medium rare to her). I told her I wanted it off the bill because that’s ridiculous the cook wasn’t competent enough to cook a steak to be even close to medium. They proceeded to take $10 off the $23 dollar meal. Is a baked potato and a salad with no croutons (even though we asked for extra) worth $13? I think not. We ate a 1/4 of the steak and 3 bites of the burger and couldn’t finish them. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the fries that come with the burger tasted good and the service wasn’t horrendous during a busy time. I would have to recommend staying away from this restaurant to any family or friends.

Zero crowd control. Our experience with Erik would have been pretty perfect. However maddie/Maddy decided she would rather socialize at the same volume as her highly intoxicated patrons that she obviously knows from outside work if she's going to share that volume with them. I could barely hear my girlfriend speak. Restaurant seems partly in shambles. I wonder what the fine folks down in Texas would think about their franchise in this condition.

We were so disappointed of our experience today. We have been very happy in previous visits. It started with the wait. We're were told we would get a text when our table was ready withing 5-15 minutes. We waited and after the time elapsed we asked if we missed our call. We had not yet. After 15 more minutes of waiting we went to check again. The customer in front of us was inquiring the same and was told he was texted twice and would now have a 30 minute longer wait. We asked and they told us our table was ready and a text had been sent. We waited another 5 minutes to be brought to our table. Our waiter arrived a few minutes later for a drink order, not appearing to want to be there. We had to ask twice for their complimentary bread and then finally got our chance to order food. We recieved our table ready text after we got our order. We were pretty disappointed with the Mac and Cheese for our youngest child (which was boxed Mac, not something you would expect from a higher end chain, especially for the price). The Mac was not creamy, but very dry and overcooked almost curdled looking. We heard complaints from neighboring tables about their negative experience. Also at one point we stacked neatly our used plates and cutlery. Our waiter came to collect the used dishes without a word to us about needing anything or any word at all. Our dishes were mediocre at best. The prime rib was overly and fiberously fatty as the fats were not properly rendered to give those fats their glory. My husband was not able to finish his dinner as those strand of fat could be compared to the consistency of eating hair. Our waiter disappeared for quite a while and we were already beyond ready to leave. So very disappointed and will not be returning. Gross food and shotty service. Such a shame.

I was in a sh*t mood, and then our server showed up with a smile and jokes! Michael was definitely on his A game (out of 460 location my husband and I are from Texas and have been to over 25) the table was cleaned and out of the way our drinks were full and everything was hot when it arrived. Steak was overcooked but flavored well.

We had a party of ten, waited over an hour, we were told we were at the top of the list, then they called a table of ten before us. We even called ahead to get on the list. Two of our party left when they called the other party before us. We were the two that left, so can't comment on the food, only the being lied to part.

Love going here food is great. They have a great staff.
