Garbo's - Regency

I send my significant other into this Garbo’s armed with a picture of the hairstyle we want. We’ve done this twice and both times his hair looks absolutely nothing like the picture. It doesn’t look *bad* just nothing like the picture. If a hairstyle can’t be achieved, just say so up front. Nbd.

Michaela S. always does such a great job! When I tell her I want to take a leap with my hair she has suggestion after suggestion. She truly knows what's best for your style and comfort level. She also is so gentle and friendly when cleaning and styling your hair! She is my only hairstylist (I don't trust anyone else, sorry mom) The price level is great! With her quality I feel like I'm going to get a 500 dollar hairdo for a fraction of that! I am constantly getting compliments on my hair and you can to. Just go visit her! But tell her I sent you! We will both get 25$ off! (Me for the referral, you for being a first time client)

My husband came in today looking to get his root dyed black (he WAS platinum blonde). After discussing the two tone look he was after with his stylist Lexi, she then proceeded to dye his entire head with some cheap non permanent dye we could have probably bought from walmart. No effort was made to separate or section his hair, his roots were mostly missed ( much of his head at the roots is now still blonde or a wonderful shade of blue/green....) and all of his tips are now grey purple. All of this disaster for 100 DOLLARS?!?! I will have to spend a lot maybe the same amount just to get all this mess fixed. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! It's sad when I (a retired law enforcement officer) can do a better job in my "kitchen salon" then a "professional" establishment. Pathetic.

Aaron has been cutting my hair for the last five years with the last two being at Garbo's. They have an excellent selection of products and services and Erin actually helped me find a gift for my dad for Father's Day. Erin has always done a phenomenal job with my hair and takes her time to make sure that it's done right the first time. The prices are reasonable for a salon but still relatively expensive compared to some of the lower cost options that are out there. I've tried several other places and people over the years but I always go back to Erin.

Rave review for Erin L. at Garbo's Regency! I have been seeing Erin for a while now to get highlights and style my hair, and she is always great about educating me on new products, treatments, and just overall doing wonders for my hair! So when it came to wedding hair, I knew she was the only person I could trust. She did my hair for my wedding on September 8 of this year, and not only was my hair beautiful, but holy cow that sucked did not move all night and did great through pictures! After two accidental veil pulls, dancing at the reception, and even some moderate wind, the intricate design remained beautiful. Please understand that I have a lot of hair, and it is very thick, so to have my intricate hairstyle survive the night beautifully is a big deal! Please go see Erin L. at Garbo's Regency for your general hair needs, but truly consider her for your wedding hairstyle!!

I’ve been going to Eileen to get my hair cut and colored and my eyebrows waxed for over a year now and she always does a fantastic job! She makes sure to spend quality time with her clients and does not cut any corners in order to make sure everything is done to perfection. During my last appointment I was ready for a change but did not know exactly what I wanted, thankfully Eileen is very creative and helpful and I ended up leaving with a color I adore! I have also had so many compliments on my eyebrows since she started waxing them and will only ever go to her from now on. I was happy to find out that she is now taking appointments at both the regency and the midtown locations.

Update to original review: I must commend the owner for her attention to my complaint. She was most kind and desirous of “making it right.” I am very impressed with her forthrightness and professionalism. She did indeed “make it right.” I will be a repeat customer. Worst salon experience I have ever endured. Called ahead of time for a price quote on cut and color, which I indicated ahead of time to the stylist. No can do. It came to about $76 more, to which I added on a tip. (I always tip but wish I hadn’t.) The stylist never introduced herself and was not prone to conversation, so I sat there in silence pretty much the whole time. I only learned her name at the front desk as I was paying. I asked for highlights, but none were apparent when she was done, and I was told they would show more clearly after a few washings (?). I still can’t see them. I’m just dark on the bottom and light on the top. Sigh... The cut: I can’t do anything with the style. Curling iron, flat iron, blow dry...it doesn’t matter. My hair is lifeless and drab. I’m out $216 for expectations not met. Will not return or recommend .

I have been a client of Lexi's for a few years now and I have enjoyed watching her grow from hair school to her current position at Garbo's Regency. She is extremely passionate about her work and never hesitates to put her clients first. She puts countless hours in the chair and outside, doing research and learning new practices to give her clients the best treatment possible. Every time I visit her she is able to take my reference photo - and not only recreate it - but make it even better than I could have imagined. If you are new to changing up your style, or if you're a seasoned pro, Lexi is the person to go to to achieve your dream look.

This was the best experience of getting my hair cut. My stylist was wonderful. The scalp massage was the best! I highly recommend going here.
