The Rock Place

Terrible customer service. Called and asked to receive contractor pricing on some rock and stated they could not give it to me over the phone as I needed to prove I’m a business and would need to come in with a business card. Wasn’t purchasing rock over the phone just needed contractor pricing. Guy was a complete ass about it and when I stated he lost my business due to his attitude he stated he didn’t care and it was fine. Will never take my business here or refer any customers. FYI: Anyone could go in with a business card maybe ask for an EIN as that’s how professional real business’ do service.

My husband was there Saturday, 6/27/20, and said there were 2 blonde women working the check out counter who were snarky when he asked a question about pricing. A flyer was handed to him for him to figure out his own pricing. He also informed me they do not do returns, exhanges, nor store credit. Since they didnt want to be there, we dont want to be there either, and we will never go again.

Products are okay, customer service not very accommodating. I purchased around $2,000 worth of rock and aluminum edging. When I purchased the edging I specifically asked the cashier if I could bring back any full un-used and un-damaged pieces and she said it wouldn’t be a problem but I couldn’t return any rock. Fast forward. At project end I went out on a Saturday to return not needed Not damaged edging during open hours on website and the store was closed. No announcement on website. Okay.. not a problem, will try again. A couple months later (life happens) I call to see if they are open and they are and knowing additional time has passed and I need a couple boulders I ask for an exchange. Nope, no exchange, no ability to return despite what was said at checkout, zero attempt to be flexible. They had a chance to make a customer happy and be basically even but instead they lost a customer and any potential recommendations.

My mom and I were completing a backyard pond and went here for inspiration. The staff was outstanding! The prices were reasonable, most sold by the pound. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, especially Alfonso who greeted us as we arrived, showed us around and explained everything we needed to know to get started. Once we selected our flagstones he guided us through the checkout process and loaded our car. He even went out of his way to find a cardboard liner to protect the back of my SUV. I would absolutely recommend the Rock Place without hesitation. I'll be back soon for more landscaping rocks - their displays sparked my imagination and I've already got another project in mind.

I’ve always have had a great experience getting my landscaping materials. Super good office staff and the yard staff is right on time every time. If you spend enough they throw in a free soda as well!

The Rock Place has such a great selection and they are always so nice and helpful whenever we go there. The last two times we've been there we met Jesse and he has been so kind and has gone out of his way to make sure we find what we are looking for. He's even offered suggestions and tips based on his experience. Highly recommend!

Great selection and assortment of rocks, was quoted one price for some rocks and was charged 3x. Was told there was nothing they can do about it. They were nice, but we were pretty shocked they wouldn't stick to the quote price. They are NOT flexible.

Great selection, good prices and friendly employees. Talked to the new owners - they were super personable and clearly are making it happen!
