La Mesa Mexican Restaurant

La Mesa is one of my favorite restaurants. I have always experienced great food and service. My go to entre is the Fajitas Nachos. Substitute flour chips and this meal is on another level!

I went to La Mesa twice in a week, this week. I have had the best service & food I’ve ever had these last two nights. I don’t know what happened with this location, maybe new management but everything was Devine. In the past I swore I’ll never go back due to the service & the food but I decided to give them a chance again & they did not disappoint!! Everything was amazing & I wish I remember my servers names because they were the best. All I ordered was pazole & Al pastor tacos with horchata & all of it was absolutely delicious.

My family placed an order to go. We ordered chips and queso and three taco plates (two steak and one chicken with all rice). When we got home we noticed we were shorted 2 steak tacos and one chicken taco. When I called the restaurant to let them know, I was on hold for 30 minutes. Finally, I hung up and called back. A man by the name of “Juan” answered the phone and was awful. I would never go back there. After the way I was treated over the phone, one couldn’t pay me to go back there. I’m truly appalled.

They have always had super nice and attentive customer service, AMAZING food that you definitely can't beat, and it's all in a great clean environment. I've been going to all the La mesas in Omaha since I was really little and I've never had a bad experience going there. La Mesa is a tradition for both sides of my family too. This place has the best food hands down, you can't find it anywhere else. I get the house fajitas with steak, flour tortillas, no beans extra rice (I love their Mexican rice), and a dr. Pepper. Some of these comments I see about bad experiences I don't believe, and they might just all be Karen's. Trust me, I have gone for all my life, and I go there frequently with no complaints. They are also really good at keeping the same quality food and not changing up on anything

This is by far the best authentic Mexican restaurant I have been to. The food portions were great for the price- very filling and tasty! Our server Wendy was lovely and very bubbly the whole meal she was even kind enough to take a family picture for us! Overall best dining experience I have had in a while I highly recommend anyone to come here especially my fellow Hispanics!

Definitely a great experience for the first time. I would come back to this location 155th and Q, Diego was my waiter tonight, did an amazing job. I love a waiter that’s there but not to much and great customer service skills also is a plus. Thank you for a great dinner. Cheese dip is great option, fajitas left a bit to be desired for the chicken and steak. I will try something else next time. Steak had good flavor just not as tender as I thought it would be and my fajitas didn’t come out sizzling on the hot plate but still hot.

Been a die hard la mesa fan for over 20yrs, so it pains me to see their service suck so bad and prices go to what they have. Numerous times now we show up and get no service for 15-20mins. Most recent time, we had to get all of our drinks ($5 lemonade for the kids!) at the bar and it was 30mins before anyone came to our table. Somehow he was rude on top of it, as if it was our fault. The chips were crumbs. This isn’t the la mesa I grew up with prompt service, fair prices, thoughtful food, and caring/fun staff. Truly a bummer. Positive feedback… the chicken nachos are still great.

My family came here to eat while we were in town visiting the Omaha Zoo and Aquarium. The restaurant was nice & clean, but the bathrooms not so much. My family ordered tacos, flautas, burrito, albondigas and they all said the food was ok. Mine lacked flavor in the chicken, but my husband said his dish was flavorful.
