I booked my first appointment at Garbo's with Emily. You are always a little apprehensive when choosing a new stylist, but I had a great experience! I had a picture of what I was interested in, and she did an excellent job. She was very friendly and put me at ease from the jump! I would highly recommend her!

I moved here from Georgia a few months ago, I’m very particular about who cuts or colors my hair. I met Lindsey B., and I was fascinated with her passion and knowledge. She did a fabulous cut and color for me and took her time in explaining to me the best way to style it and the best products to use. Very talented! After 28 years of using the same hairdresser, I’m 1000% satisfied with my new one. Thanks, Lindsey and Garbo’s!

Ashley Renee does a great job with my curly and thick hair making it manageable and keeps it looking nice. She is also personable to work with and efficient.

I have been going to Garbo’s for years and have always had a great experience. My wedding was this last weekend so I scheduled a manicure/pedicure, hair, and makeup appointment. I also was able to add my mother and sister-in-law to my bridal party where we all walked away with exactly what we were wanting! The girls at Garbo’s were amazing and really heard what we all wanted then made it happen! Highly recommend!

I want to edit my previous post. The owner, Darcy, called me after I posted my review and was very apologetic. She made things right and gave me a great experience. Thank you, Darcy and Claire! I have been a client at Garbo’s Village Pointe for about a year. I moved to the area and, after a lot of research, decided to try it out. My first two experiences were good. I had the same stylist. My third appointment was cancelled because my stylist was ill. Perfectly understandable. I rescheduled and, again, was cancelled because of illness. I rescheduled with another stylist and had a good experience. I had an appointment scheduled with my original stylist on my one day off and was, once again, cancelled. This time due to a “family emergency.” When I called Garbo’s I expressed my extreme frustration of being cancelled three different times by the same stylist. I was offered a time a week later during the day, however I work during the day and this wouldn’t work. I rarely have days off, that’s why it was scheduled then. I told the gal that answered the phone that they just lost a client and was told “sorry.” I told her that’s how much they think of their clients? See you later? She told me she would have the manager or owner call me. That was four days ago and have heard nothing. I gave them time to make things right, but they never did. So, I decided that I would have my voice heard another way. By wary: unreliable staff and uncaring attitudes. I expected much more.

I originally went in to get my hair done in Feb 2022. I asked for bayalage and had a picture for reference. I asked for a more experienced person since I didnt get exactly what I wanted prior. When I left, my hair looked awful. It was basically white highlights that looked like something Christina Aguilera rocked in the early 2000s. The stylist basically dyed my hair dark brown and add white chunky highlights. It was embarrassing. They were chunky over processed highlights. She also only spent few mins cutting my hair as well because it was getting late. I had a few pieces that werent even close to being even and I trimmed them on my own. I contacted the manager and the owner. They assured me that they would have someone else fix it. I went back in about 2-3 weeks later and someone else worked on my hair. My hair looked better at the time but I was nervous the brown hair dye they used to cover the awful highlights would wear off. It mostly did. What was left after about 2 -3 weeks was shimmery copper highlights. I was in the middle of moving and a lot of other things so I just threw my hands up and thought "oh well, just not going back there again". Then.....my hair started breaking off a lot where the blonde/copper highlights were on the top of my head. I have tons of short hairs that stick straight up now. My hair is so dry from being over processed. I'm left with thick copper highlights on top with crazy short hairs sticking up all over. And then blonde on the bottom. What really made me mad is that a few weeks ago, I did engagement pictures. I just got the pictures back, and my hair looks awful. The high lights look so cheap like I did them on my own at home with a blindfold on. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know how bad bc I don't really see the side of my head. Any picture from the side felt unusable. This is not my first bad experience, but its the first that I felt just angry about the results. The owner said I could come back if I didn't like the results from my 2nd apt, but how can I go back when they have already damaged my hair so much? I'm left with something that cant really be fixed. $200 for destroyed hair.....

UPDATE: the manager called me and refunded my money. I’m happy she understood my frustration. I appreciate her reaching out and making me feel like my hair wasn’t something to just brush off. By all means she didn’t have to refund me but she did and made sure I was happy when I left. I can’t give 5 stars because of my first experience here but I can say that someone who genuinely cares about a customer satisfaction means a lot. I had an appointment for a Sunday at noon. Knowing my hair would take a while I wanted the first appointment. My mother and I scheduled for the same time. We arrived and as we are parking we get a phone call that my stylist was running late. We decided to wait for her. They got started on my hair because it was going to take longer. Great. My moms stylist NEVER showed up. Then I asked for platinum blonde with short 1inch black roots. Let me just say this is the first time I’ve ever been to a salon where they charge you 300$ for you to leave with same or worse hair condition than when you came in. My hair has patches in it. Looks like someone died my hair with box die. I think this was a scam! They comped some hair shampoo and conditioner but that stuff made my hair so dry and damaged. Not to mention, EVERY place I have ever been says to use purple shampoo for blonde hair. This girl straight up told me if I used purple shampoo it would strip the blonde out. Leah needs to be educated again on how hair works because she does NOT know how to do hair. I asked for platinum blonde and got my same light brown hair as I came in with but worse ! With a patch spot job all over. She combed brown through my hair. I’ve cried about it because I can’t even wear my hair down. This is a mess that I now have to pay more money to get fixed after spending another $300! Im so upset! 10/10 would go somewhere else!!!!!! Do not waste your hard working money on people who can’t do a simple job! I wish we would have just done my hair at home because it would have turned out 1000x better than this!

I see Courtney at Garbo’s. She does a great job with my blond. I’m quite particular and she listens and helps me decide when I have a new idea. Highly recommend!

My stylist was Sam, she was very friendly and listened to exactly how I wanted my haircut! Will definitely be booking with her again in the future!
