Blue Moon Fitness - Omaha Central

Nice facility but I was told I couldn't work out because the tank top I was wearing showed a little bit of my sides. It was incredibly off putting, borderline shaming, and made me feel unwelcome. For a gym that prides itself on inclusiveness, I definitely did not feel included. Meanwhile, the men were wearing cut off shirts, almost identical. I chose to end my membership and go else where. I'll post a picture below of what I was wearing since the owner wants to lecture me on what is appropriate to wear. For the record, I switched to planet fitness and have never been hassled or felt unwelcome.

i'm currently a new member and like it very much as it was a recommendation that one of my friends made to me. 8/10 gyms have a very intimidating atmosphere where you feel like you don't belong but not at Blue Moon Fitness. The atmosphere is very relaxed, staff are approachable and know what they are doing which makes it so much easier to ask questions. The fact that they have a women's section, strictly for women, is one thing that sets them above the rest. Definitely guaranteed value for money and desirable results with the right attitude. I am not giving them 5 stars solely because there are no punching bags but that's probably because its not apart of the vision of the club or some other reason. Other than that, a great work out place i would recommend to anyone looking to get in or stay in shape.

I've been with blue moon since 2018, it's a great starter gym the staff is good and the facility has all the basics. I only give it 3 stars because of the modifications made since COVID --masks walking in and out, asking members to sit on towels (like they cant trust us to clean), and not a COVID thing but they have a dress code that doesnt allow cutoffs or crop tops.

I have been a member of the 84th and Center Blue Moon for almost 5 years now. Recently the staff has made repairs in regards to marks/ dents in walls, painting and upgrading some machines. I was looking to switch gyms about a year ago due to my fitness routine changing, but Blue Moon added battle ropes, kettle bells and recently a couple of rowing machines. I have never had any issues with the staff and being a member so long has allowed me to make friends and connections. For the price, it is hard to beat. This location is within one mile of my home and during the warmer months I enjoy walking there. It is busier around 5-6 pm but other times I have gone I have not had to compete for equipment. Good job Blue Moon!

I think this gym would be great if they cared about customer service over all the gimmicks. I only work out here because its a quick drive for me. I signed up at a time that they said you got a deal for the diamond membership but I was still charged a separate fee to work out the day I went, rather than getting one free day pass. Now they advertise all these "5 day free" passes; never saw it. I even saw a promo that said you could get a $50 credit for signing up, so I was clearly shafted. They are also lacking very basic, cheap equipment. Since I've been a member, I've requested on three separate occasions that they purchase a swiss ball (ie one of the cheapest most basic pieces of workout equipment) since there is not ONE in the gym, but still no swiss ball. I've also requested a BOSU ball because they don't have that either. Considering they are located directly next to a Play It Again Sports, they could walk next door to buy those two very cheap items. For that reason, I'm on the search for another gym in my area. They shouldn't charge the same as other total gyms and not even have the basics. While their women's room is nice in theory, they don't have a sign up stating "women's only" so sometimes men go into the women's only room, and they didn't extend the gym flooring into the women's room so the carpet in there is really old. On the bright side, the gym is always very clean and there plenty of weights and strength training equipment to choose from.

Visited this location as a guest, and I gotta say I was impressed. It had everything you'd need for casual fitness, and even a lot of equipment that can be used for powerlifting. Again, I was there as a guest, but in talking with my friend I discovered that the rates are reasonable, especially considering the equipment offered. Definitely worth looking into if you want to enter the fitness game on a budget.

Blue Moon Fitness has a comfortable welcoming workout environment, great machines, very clean, friendly staff, a diverse crowd, rules for behavior and appropriate attire. My mom, husband, teenage son and daughter all workout at Blue Moon. It’s great for all of us!

I am no gym rat, but joining this place a month ago has been a great decision. I used to be a member at the Y and while blue moon does not have nearly the same level of amenities, it has the vast majority of what I am looking for for only $10 a month. That is hard to beat. The staff are nice, but I have never come to situation where I needed help so I can't honestly say helpful. If you know the type of gym that this is, geared towards the unfit looking to make improvements, then the strange rules of the gym tend to make a bit more sense. All in all, it has been a welcoming place to get a workout it.

This place and its staff are awesome. Myself, my wife and our little girl have been traveling all over America grabbing a workout at gyms where ever we could. Called all around town, on our way into Omaha, looking for a gym that was reasonably priced for a 1 day pass, and found these guys on the second call. They were super friendly over the phone and when we told them we where just tourists looking to get in a quick workout as we passed through town, they said, look come in a grab a VIP pass for free. The gym is well set up, plenty of machines and free weights, tonnes of cardio equipment, friendly and helpful staff and full of serious gym goers, which is always a good sign. Read the other reviews out there on this place, some of these made nasty comments about smelly showers etc... can honestly tell you this is total B.S. The showers were clean, well appointed and just what the doctor ordered after a hard workout. Compared to the other gyms in Omaha who are asking upwards of $20 for a 1 day pass, i wouldn't be surprised to hear these guys are destroying their competition. Thanks so much again for your kindness, generosity and amazing facilities, you guys are the best across the board. Would recommend to anyone in Omaha or just passing through. Fine gym but when i signed up the promised no enrollment and no cancelation if you paid double the monthly cost and so i went with that because i didnt want to make a long term commitment. Anyways a few months pass and i go to finnally cancel and they say i need to pay the $50.
