New Victorian Inn & Suites Norfolk

The service was hospitable. They had my reservation ready a day in advance. Having the pool not closed because of foolish "covid" reasons was nice. My son and I had a good time. If I'm back in the neighborhood I'll check back in.

It has been a few years since we last stayed here and WOW what a difference. The hotel has been updated and it looks amazing! We definitely will be back!

This is a very nice and moderate priced hotel. The place is clean, quiet and well run. The beds have extremely new clean sheets and lots of pillows. The tv and wifi work great. The staff has been helpful and so glad I can do my laundry here too. Also soap available for laundry at front desk and get a free dryer sheet too. This place really family friendly nice the pool is nothing fancy. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was incredible when it came to customer service. We got stranded in Norfolk when we were on a roadtrip to pick up our puppies. I will start with the esthetics of the place. 1. The rooms were very nicely sized and set up. Clean and comfortable. 2. They have been renovating the place and are doing a great job. I told the front desk the first night that it was really smart of them choosing flooring that was not carpet given the amount of foot traffic and difficulty to thoroughly clean carpets. 3. I saw them still making renovations but it did not interfere with me or my family. Now, I will discuss the hospitality and customer care they provided. This is what makes The New Victoria Inn worth staying at. 1. The staff is so helpful and kind. 2. When we arrived they were very helpful in welcoming us and accommodating a last minute booking because our car was about to break down. 3. The lady at the front desk played with our new puppies and asked if she could give them a treat. This was very comforting given our current situation and how bitterly cold it was when i took them out for a walk. 4. When our car was not fixed before our scheduled checkout I asked for a late checkout and they provided it. After they still couldn't fix the car I asked them if I could extend our checkout and they did it without an issue. They even asked me how long I would need and to just keep them updated. It turned out the mechanics needed a part that was 2 weeks out so we extended our stay one more night. 5. The next morning we planned on taking an uber or lyft to get a rental car. Unfortunately uber and lyft are not really an option there. The staff saw that we had checked out and moved all our stuff to the reception area and asked if we had found a ride. I told them I was still working on it and they went out of their way to give me options to call. Once we realized that the earliest taxi would take about 1:30-2:00 hours they made sure my kids were comfortable until they arrived. 5. I travel a lot and this is easiest the best experience I have had. The staff is what will make this place successful. The big chains cannot compare to the customer care they provided. Also they have a really good spread for breakfast. - From the stranded dad with two kids and two dogs.

Always liked staying here. But when I called I asked about pool. Get here pool is closed. So thought I'd get up early and swim. Nope pool doesn't open till 8am. My son has surgery at 9 so really disappointed. Only reason we stayed here was because of pool.

Comfortable beds, Room-a little outdated but clean, quiet on second floor. Friendly service both on phone & in-person. Standard included breakfast.

Kudos to the planning/updates in this hotel; I count no less than 7 plug-ins and 2 usbs between the 2 queen beds for all the technology needs of 2 adults and 2 grandchildren! Sizeable fridge for snacks. Clean with plenty of towels. Pool is small but safe and clean. Asked for first floor accommodations (after knee surgery) and staff was quick to comply. Thank you.

This is probably the friendliest staff I have ever encountered and I travel a lot. The hotel was immaculate and so was the room. The breakfast was excellent as well. I really couldn't say enough about the staff, but they made sure we had everything we needed. I could not give this motel a higher recommendation.

Clean hotel with truck parking on the south side which was awesome. Hotel was incredibly noisy. Sound traveled super bad. Paper thin walls. They remodeled the room but left a nasty old bathroom sink and shower... I think this may have been because they put me in a handicapped accessible room. The other rooms looked much nicer than mine. This place got the job done for getting me out of the storm but that's about it.

On our recent trip, this was by far the best motel, and it was not the most expensive. The room was plenteous, the amenities were good, the staff was most friendly. We were on the second floor and the stairs were a tad steep, so if that's an issue then you need to ask for a first floor room. Turning left onto or off of Omaha Ave. might be tricky at times, but there is a stoplight at the AAA office a half block away, and the parking lots adjoin. This was a nice comfortable stay.
