Honest Abe's - Meadowlane

Honest Abe's Burgers and Freedom is really kind of cool place. It is a simple theme but really neat - the white with black just makes the place look clean and neat. I had the greatest burger ( that's what it was called on the menu) which was sloppy but really delicious. The free frys were ok a little salty but the seasoning was interesting. You have to get their Abe's dipping sauce for the frys. All in all it is a good experience - food and service were both worthy of a second visit.

As burger places go, this one seemed pretty darn good. The menu is up on the wall and there are several regular burgers and a few specials that change. The decor is quirky and features Abe Lincoln all over. My burger came quickly and was well cooked. Special attention was paid to the toppings and the bun is high quality, so although it's a large burger physically, it stays together and is structurally sound. The fries were great, but I didn't need many of them after eating the burger.

I ordered the "Greatest Burger Ever"; first thing on the menu. It was different..chewy, a little greasy, but not horrible. The strawberry cheesecake shake was decent. I recommend eating at this restaurant but not more than once a month.

The place came highly recommended and it’s every bit of what they say it is! Very delicious juicy burger! I’m not from Lincoln and was just visiting but will definitely return!

The service was awful. The location on 70th the ice machine doesn't work. When I told one of the workers he was very rude. When I asked why I had to pay 2.75 for 4 drinks when it wouldn't be cold, he snapped "I'll refund it. The pop does come out pretty cold" I took my seat and was not refunded.

Fun place, burger name, and atmosphere. The fries were delicious and not greasy. The Hammer of Thor burger was drip-on-the-paper greasy but had good flavors.

I love abe's!! Food is always good. Just this last time,the service I got, some huffin and puffin from the cashier because I walked in at 9:30 and they closed at 10. Like bro you don't have Breathe that hard. When someone orders something..

I haven't been to Honest Abe's for sometime until yesterday, but while I was grabbing soda I came back to my table to find that the burgers are half the size they used to be and more expensive. Don't mind paying for more due to inflation but don't charge more for smaller portions.

Honestly, It’s Good On a whim, with nothing to do, I traveled to Lincoln, NE from Omaha for a day trip. When I did a search for the top ten best burger places in the area, Honest Abe’s Burgers & Freedom was at the top of the list. So, with an empty stomach and a big appetite, I went for the challenge. Located on the corner of a shopping center, the restaurant isn’t fancy when you step inside, but there is a clever history timeline on the wall that you can read as you wait in line. Pay attention because there are some fun additions related to Abe and burgers written in. The chalk board menu at the front of the restaurant lays out everything you may want before you give your order to the cashier. For me not only is the burger important but so is the bun. My “Greatest Burger Ever” selection was not only juicy with all the toppings that are offered along with their “awesome sauce,” but the soft, pliable bun held it all together. Since the menu is a la cart, for an additional 3.75, you can add the freedom fries, and a drink. It was a pleasure meeting Ben, who’s customer service skills were on point. Overall: Honestly, it was the best burger I’ve had in a while.

On the way to the restaurant and decided to call and preorder so I didn’t have to wait. Placed on hold for 10 mins. Ended up arriving and decided to go in while still on the phone and the guy at the register immediately took my order. I realized I was on hold as he was taking customers order that came in after I called and also after I arrived in the parking lot. Should be noted the restaurant have only a handful of customers and there was no line. Also cashier didn’t wash his hands while going back and forth physically handling the burgers.
