Genesis Health Clubs - O Street

It's clean and active. Nice trainers. However there are a good number of broken machines that have been broken for over a month.

Claim to have a 7 day free trial, but that's only after you sign up. The person I met with in the sales room made me more uncomfortable than when I was buying my car. They really try to push you into signing I expressed that I did not have much money at the time of our meeting and they asked me "how much money do you have" word for word. I feel like maybe I would have signed up if I had a different sales person. But the person who helped me asked me some things that were none of their business which really just turned me off from wanting sign any contract. I feel like this could be a good gym for people who are well established in an area with a gym location but for someone who may be moving around a lot only getting a deal on a 30 month contract with a high cancelation fee, this would not be the gym for you. The lowest contract offered seems to be 12 months. They do seem to have good amenities and classes (just from what I saw on the fast tour) and they will help you with plans to reach your goals. But I could not willingly give money to a place that just focuses so much on selling memberships. I would rather pay a little more for a gym where I felt like a person to them, not just a monthly check.

I had an awesome cycle class at Genesis tonight! Even though there was 14.5 inches of snow, one of their cycle Instructors (Alvin) walked a cool 3 miles to teach his 5:30pm group class!!! You need instructors that show up for YOU because they want to, not because they have to. Thank you for the great cycle workout Alvin!

This is a an amazing place to belong to! Staff is super friendly. iWork with personal trainer Chris Casper who is extreme oh friendly knowledgeable and a great person to help you reach all your goals. If you haven’t already give O street genesis a try!!

Very clean, equipment always works well, or is fixed promptly. Really great locker rooms with private showers; dry sauna is especially clean and relaxing after a workout. Staff at this location are very friendly and happy to help out. As a former retail building, it lacks windows -- I prefer the Pine Lake location for its abundant natural light, but both are good gyms!

The staff of this location is always extremely friendly. It's always kept clean and there are so many different machines that the gym is never "too packed." I love all the different areas to workout, including an area for TRX. To top it off, classes and tanning is included. This gym is huge and friendly, making it a great experience every time I go.

Great place to workout. One problem; the hours. I moved here from NYC and EVERY gym is open 24/7 in NY. I miss being able to go when I get off work (11pm). Other than the hours, it’s great!

The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, highly motivated, and awesome people to be around. I've never been in a gym with a better vibe. No matter if your goal is to simply stay fit during vacation or to train like a hardcore athlete, Genesis has what you're looking for. The front desk staff are simply awesome always greet you with a smile! This is the best gym around!

I have noticed a real change in the gym as far as classes and personal training go. While I don't take advantage of either as I have my own workout regimen, it has been a pleasure to see the new personal training staff and how personal they are with their clients. I have been to gyms where personal trainers are on their phones while their client is performing an exercise and I have not seen anything like that at Genesis. All of the personal trainers are involved and hands on with their clients which has been awesome to see. I also love the variety of classes offered and integrating the community and non-profits into the classes. Bottom line is that Genesis has really made a turn around and I'm proud to be a part of the gym.

It's nice to find a gym that has the all around athlete in mind. Not just cardio and not just weights but the body as a whole. Genesis is clean, spacious and ready to move you. It might cost a little more than the other gyms but the cost is well worth it from the amount of equipment to the instructor lead classes to the well maintained locker rooms. It's a great gym!
