Buzzard Billy's

Overall pretty solid place for a meal. Food is good. Our server was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Loved the variety the menu offered since we had some picky eaters in our group.

Excellent value drink specials but food quality has been slipping over time. They’re keeping shortening way too long it might not be fit for biodiesel it's so loaded with carcinogens. They can't cook Armadillo eggs without making them over done and the hush puppies are burnt. Tonight the part that was the most disappointing is learning the chicken and sausage gumbo appears to be made to order with very dry chicken sprinkled on top with no sausage at all. Still like it but that's not really gumbo and definitely not chicken and SAUSAGE gumbo without the sausage.

Ate here over the weekend. My husband and I ordered the alligator bites and the cheese curds for starters. Alligator bites had zero flavor and the cheese curds were rubber. For my meal I ordered the bayou platter. Gumbo, red beans and rice, and blackened chicken. The gumbo was terrible. It looked more like a paste and tasted awful! The blackened chicken was not authentic blackened. There was no flavor to it. I have had authentic Cajun/Louisiana food and this definitely was not it. We won't be back.

Great decor & vibe. Did an excellent job serving lots of people quickly and accurately after a Husker game.

Food was good but we got there during an event so they had a special menu so that was kinda an issue because it was mostly just burgers

I am reluctantly giving 4 stars. 3.5 is probably more accurate and here is why. The staff were professional but very average and not attentive. It was a take out order and they forgot the one comdent my mother wanted on her hamburger. My po boy was tasty but too few topings did not reach the edges of the bread, see picture. No one ever thanked me and 6 staff were hanging around up front and no one acknowledged me leaving. Alone these are not big things, but all together they left a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe they should only recieve 3 stars.

Friendly staff, fast seating & service. Large dining room with plenty of seating plus bar. Blackened catfish was the star, but jambalaya & gumbo were also delicious! Cheers!

By far the worst Cajun food I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve lived in Lafayette Louisiana. The corn side was obviously from some kind of can. The nerve of someone charging $28 for a meal that has canned corn!!! And in Nebraska!!! Anyone serving canned corn and Nebraska has something wrong with them !!! I ordered a blacked ribeye and got an overcooked piece of shoe leather. No blackened spices at all!! And it’s supposed to be a Cajun restaurant??!! If you are in Nebraska steer clear of buzzard Billy‘s.!!!Absolutely the worst restaurant around!!! Never ever again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The young lady had went and took my order. It took over 20 minutes even though she said it'll be about that time. But it was so worth the wait...the Buffalo 🍔 is so good. If you decide to order the Buffalo Patty you can get it to any style of Burger on the menu. They have outdoor dining if you decide to sit outside, which is a pretty cute patio, for downtown Lincoln Nebraska. Buzzard Billy's reminds me of TGIF's restaurants with all the vintage items on the wall. Parking is hard to find downtown here in Lincoln. I can't imagine the weekends trying to find a parking space. The building is old and vintage which I love. The architect is very beautiful.
