Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kearney

The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. The room was clean. The location is right off I80 and easy to get to.

We booked our room via the Hotels.com app which may have been the entire problem with our stay. I thought I booked a “suite” with two queen beds (I used the app on my I-phone) When I arrived I was given an accessible room with only a single queen bed. When I checked in, I immediately went back to the front desk and explained the problem, the front desk manager (not naming names, but I have her business card) said that she could not change the reservation since it was booked online. I told her I would pay the rack rate for any upgrades, again she said she could not do anything. I then attempted to contact Hotels.com to try and resolve my issues. They were conveniently experiencing “unprecedented demand” and my wait time would be one to two hours. They said I could leave a call back number if I desired…I pressed 1 as directed and was immediately hung up on. So, I took the room. The room was dirty, no microwave, small, noisy, no bath just a rusty shower, toilet didn't flush correctly and roaches, and yes, I have pictures. Breakfast didn’t open until way after we wanted to be on the road on a day with forecasted highs being above 97 degrees. Probably the worst motel/hotel experience I have ever had in the United States. Hotels.com didn’t let me post a negative review, probably why this place looked so great on their website.

Simple, but well-appointed rooms and common area. A great free breakfast rounds out the excellent value. The customer service experience was also top-shelf. After a long day of driving, I had a small issue with my room upon initially checking in - but Matthew's service was exemplary, and he got me set up in a new room without issue. A much-needed reprieve! Thank you Matthew for your wonderful and professional help.

I would stay here again. Room was clean, in a good location with easy access to many restaurants in the area and the staff was welcoming. Also the free breakfast was pretty good.

Liked · Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. I found the bed to be fairly comfortable and the pillows were nice, not flat and thin. Breakfast was a good spread. This hotel is dog-friendly with dogs kept on the first floor when possible. Plenty of grass outside and treats in the lobby. Disliked · Not super quiet and the elevator had some noise and shaking that is a bit nerve wracking. Luckily it's only a 3-floor building. Kearney is always my stopping point when driving cross country to visit family. This hotel will definitely be my go-to from now on, especially when traveling with a dog.

We came in late around midnight and the staff was very accommodating and friendly! I appreciate the filtered water bottle filler for one ! The Beds are pillow top soft ! we had an excellent nights sleep . The Hot showers and bright, clean bathrooms were also very much appreciated ! The breakfast was simple yet just enough to get us going , with waffles, breakfast pastries, fresh fruit , and good coffee! The morning staff was polite , wiping tables down and greeting the guests . Her conversation was a nice compliment to the breakfast . I think the friendly staff was above all the one thing that stood out, with so many places check you in and never say another word to you , but here the staff was so kind and welcoming . We definitely will book here again !

Affordable, clean, safe, and a great free breakfast! We stayed here overnight while driving across the country and it was the perfect stop. The manager, Matthew, was SO INCREDIBLY NICE and helpful!!!

Wonderful piece. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. The young lady who checked us in was friendly, helpful and efficient. They are a pet friendly motel, so much so that they have treats for your fur baby. The breakfast was tasty too. An all around pleasant stay.

Nice room, good breakfast, right off the highway

Had to clean something off the floor (ew) but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. Super nice staff. Great breakfast. Pet friendly with area to walk around. Accommodated special requests. Would stay again.
