Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kearney

We had a great stay at Microtel in Kearney, NE. Great room, good beds everything really clean and they are pet friendly. We will stay there again!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was modern and very clean, and bed was very comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe here. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Not worth the price. My husband and I stayed here for one night as we were traveling cross country and were traveling with our pet. When we checked into a pet friendly room, we were told that for one night it was going to cost $147 after taxes and after the pet fee. We were okay with that until we got charged $167. I called to sort things out and they said it was correct. We're a bit disappointed as the TV didn't work and they didn't have a good breakfast selection. Wasn't worth the price for us.

It was quiet and easy to find off of Interstate 80 staff easy to work with too

There is a strong smell of urine and old movie theater popcorn throughout the hotel. Mold in shower. Fyi I had a reservation...when I go there I was put in to a room that stunk of mildew and had mold in the shower. Them immediately I went downstairs to front desk and sent to another room that smelled of urine as soon as I walked in. I immediately canceled my reservation and left . So no I did not ACTUALLY stay . I would not allow my dogs to stay in such a place.

Spacious and the front desk person on duty was very nice. Also loved the little window nook for the cats. They loved it! Breakfast included a waffle maker, so that's a plus too.

Perfect one night stay. Rooms were very clean; you can still smell the bleach on the sheets (we consider that a good thing). Water pressure of shower was perfect. Dog-friendly; the furball slept very well too and enjoyed walking the grassy areas. Breakfast was pretty good. Would have loved some eggs but the toast and yogurt options were good enough. Coffee was much better than most motel coffees.

While the room was small, it was very clean and organized. There was a cushioned seat in the window perfect for reading and what staff we interacted with were very friendly.

I always enjoy staying here when I visit Kearney. Great staff, reasonable prices and very clean. If it hadn't been for a very unpleasant experience at the Wingate hotel in Kearney several years ago, I would not have discovered the Microtel. Now, 50 room nights later, it is the only hotel I stay in in Kearney.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed - family road trip stop and stay place. It is inexpensive. Staff is great. rooms are clean, not outdated, bed/mattress was very comfortable, breakfast was great. The hotel IS pet friendly, but it seems they have pet rooms only on the bottom floor - and zero pets by the breakfast area, which would have for sure docked a star on this here review. IF you are just passing through Kearney (as perhaps most people are...?) this is your pit stop spot.
