Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus, an IHG Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel several times for work with little to no issues in the past. I attempted to check in today and was told that the hotel does not accept the lodging card that I have always used. The manager named DAN GROENE became involved and told me again that they do not accept the lodging card. I asked if that was the case, how have I stayed at the hotel in the past with the card. DAN GROENE became irate and raised his voice and told me that he had worked there for 17 years and they have never taken that card and that the company I work for needs to get it figured out and get a credit card to pay for rooms. It was a very embarrassing and belittling experience. I simply wanted to know what the problem was as I had stayed previously with no issue. It won't be am issue again as I will not return to this or any Holiday inn. Manager Dan GROENE needs people skills training and possibly counseling.

Always clean, friendly staff and I appreciate white sheets. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast provided has several options that please even the most pickiest of eaters. I rarely ever hear people in the rooms next to me, the rooms must be well insulated.

Great place to stay with a bus full of people! Our Quilting Tour with 40 ladies stayed for one night here and the service was excellent! The room keys were made and ready with each of the ladies' names on them when we arrived, they had free bottles of water for us as we came in, and they even let us take over the lobby area for our dinner! We were so thrilled with the rooms and how clean they were. Breakfast was amazing. Everything at this hotel was awesome!

Very nice stay at Holiday Inn. The room was big, comfortable and clean; good complementary breakfast. The staff was super kind, welcoming and always helpful. Last night of my stay we were hit by a storm with heavy rain and unfortunately water started to fall in from the ceiling. I called the front desk and In no time they gave me another room (it was almost midnight). Very efficient and supportive! I definitely recommend it and for sure I will be back!

Had a decent stay at this hotel. everything met the clean IHG standards. The front desk staff was friendly but it’s in an awkward location. If you have a large or combo vehicle, it’s not very convenient. had to park on the north/south street on a residential street or can park in the Menards lot. The pool and hot tub was less than impressive and the rate was really high for what you get. But when you need a room and you’re in Nebraska sometimes you pay more. i was in the 2 queen bed room

Amazing customer service… outstanding, exemplary, above and beyond! Every single employee we interacted with made an effort to make our stay perfect. We asked to move rooms due to truck noice on the road side and they were more than accommodating. The rooms were clean, breakfast area was meticulously cleaned and restocked, the breakfast lady came around to check on us multiple time (more than just buffet service) and the pool area was well stocked with towels and clean. Clearly the staff and management have created such an amazing hotel experience for us! Thanks!

We stayed for a quick night after a family event in town. The room was great, clean with comfortable beds and adequate extra pillows/blankets for the pull out couch. The breakfast service was good and Mary was excellent this morning, cleaning, restocking, greeting and checking with everyone to make sure they didn't need anything more. She really went above and beyond with her work and attitude to make sure everyone had a great start to their morning. It is really nice to see this kind of service!
