I was a member when this gym was Prairie Life, while I am appreciative that Genesis is upgrading the gym, I am not happy with the way they go about the renovation. They shut down 2 racquetball courts at 84 location and then shut down all the courts and do the floors at the 132nd location. They shut down the daycare side and just post a little sign, the communication was terrible. And to compensate for this, they don't expand any daycare hours at any other locations. I say something to management, they tell me to check other locations, but those locations are even more limited! This has been the worse planned renovation I have ever seen in a business with little regard for it's members.

I visited this first time. However, currently this Genesis center is going through renovation which is likely to be completed by Mar 2022. Most of the space is messed up. They have lots of weight training equipment but they are congested in one small area. So my review is not general but based on my visit. Staff is good and supportive. I will review this when renovation is complete and everything is ready.

Don’t go here they will charge you a drop in fee if you aren’t a “platinum” member. Never gave a warning or never let me know till today when I went in and said I had to pay. Legit they try to get as much money out of you as they can

Owner Leo is an angry blowhard , they will try to squeeze every penny they can out of you . They changed members for time they were closed during covid after restarting without consent. Decent facility but not worth the headache

They have the best indoor track out of all the Genesis. As a "Day gym goer", it's nice because everyone has their own routine so plenty of space and the equipment you need is always available for use. Also they are updating the gym and putting in some turf. So if your an athlete this should be your go to gym once that gets put in and if you need help getting in shape. I recommend every one get a trainer to help accomplish all fitness goals. *Weight loss/building muscle/increasing strength/Improving athletic ability/ motivation/ fixing Imbalances*anything fitness related, it's worth $ to invest in yourself. 💪

Seven months into locker room renovations. Still not complete. There is no heat in the pool area. They started the project without having all of the supplies on hand. Corporate is out of touch. On site management are great people but they have no voice. Poor conditions and no end in sight, no membership compensation.

I joined the month- to -month option in January 9, 2021 because I am out of the state for four months. When I signed up, they told me it was not a big deal to put it on hold for that time period for $10 a month. Well, it was! I worked out at 5am in the morning and there was never a manager on staff at the time, so I had to conduct it over the phone. It took several phone calls from me and many written messages from the early am staff member to the manager to call me. It was weeks before I connected with anyone. So it finally worked out, only to discover that the second month of being gone, a $41.73 "Enhancement fee" appeared! I called and they told me it was in my contract. Amazing all the slick things that appear in fine print, but are not verbalized. They claim all gyms have it. Well. the wonderful and original Prairie Life never had it and treated their members with consideration. I terminated my contract as of today. YMCA, here I come!

This club is going to look amazing. Also, all the clowns posting about the renovation are the same ones that complain about the place being old. They’ll complain when everything is new, and aren’t worth listening to. There are several other locations to go to. They are just sad old people! Excited to see the new renovations !

Don't sleep on this location or get caught up on those who are upset that Genesis made innovations when it purchased the property. I've been a huge fan of Genesis for years, and the leadership doesn't settle for subpar experiences. I've also been waiting to write this review until the entire project was done, but as it's nearing, I wanted to share. As far as a gym goes, this is going to have everything you need or want. Multiple power racks, multiple benches, a massive wall of dumbbells, perhaps the world's largest cable crossover setup (don't call Guiness about it, just a guess) a running track, assault treadmills, assault bikes, a turf area, a cardio area, one amazing pool. Shoot, I haven't even touched the spots that aren't done—rooms for fitness classes, the basketball courts, etc. The locker rooms are also going to be spectacular with custom combination locks, ample space to change, and in-locker room saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs. I know this is a long review, and probably reads like someone who works for the company (spoilers: I don't.) I took the time to write this because I am excited for this spot, and I don't want the nay-sayers or those who are clinging to the old gym to distract you from joining. Genesis leadership is great, and this location is going to be a huge addition to the area. EDIT: There is a difference between working out and training. I wanted to edit my review since having used a trainer. Cooper Todd is an amazing and experienced young man who knows his stuff. He didn't waste the hour with chatting, but filled it with needed training and useful tips and expertise. If you want to take your workout to another level, I'd recommend a trainer. If you want a trainer, I recommend Cooper.
