Just started volunteering here. Staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. Can't wait to love up on and walk the doggos again soon.

They're very active in the community, and do so much for animals. They also do santa pictures by donation, and are incredibly impressive with their setup.

Adopt, don't shop! I actually saw Town and Country's card on a kennel in Petco. In the kennel was this beautiful cat, Louisianna (yes, 2 "n"s) They had vetted her with kids and dogs, and all her vet care was up to date. She had been waiting in this shelter for TEN months. I called and met Larry at the rescue, applied and had our home visit, and took her home the same week. There are so many great pets that need a home, stop by. Maybe your best friend is there. Mine was.

We adopted Joe from T&C. He was on great health and well mannered. The staff obviously cares about all of their future pets. Great no kill shelter.

I found a great kitty to adopt and the staff is so helpful and friendly, I had a very good experience. The location was 20 miles away from where I live, so it was a long drive out there.

I found someone to adopt my dog and wanted to follow the legal process of surrendering her. I reached out to get some help but the lady on the phone was very rude. However, Diana called me back the next day and made it right. I honestly appreciate it.

Though they are nice, you need to READ this warning. The contract they make you sign states they have sole ownership of the animal past the point of adoption, essentially making it as if you are simply renting the convenience of having the animal which they can "repossess at any time". This is illegal. After 30 days in Nebraska you are the sole and legal owner of an animal contract or not; at this point under FEDERAL LAW you are held to own the animal as it's owner, if they threaten the contract at that point it's void. There is no law in Nebraska or federally that allows for adoption centers to retain ownership of an owners pet 30 days post adoption as they accepted money from you in exchange for the pet. If they keep bothering you or threatening you, ignore them. If they show up to your house stating the contract allows it, this is ALSO illegal. They need to provide contact for unannounced arrivals and can therefore be treated as a legitimate threat. Needless to say I am tired of them contacting me and lording over the lives of my animals. Good luck getting them back, they are well taken care of. Ps. Their adoption process is biased and not based on facts most of the time so play their little song and dance of the food they make you get or other things, then do your own thing. They are not the final say on how to treat pets.

We adopted our fur baby from here 3 weeks ago! I cannot express how absolutely fantastic town and country is! They took time to make sure we were a good fit for him. You can really tell how much they care

I boarded my dog here. It's nice to support a business that is rescuing animals rather than profiting off them! I was really worried that he would think I was never coming back for him since he had been abandoned at a shelter by his first family but he seemed perfectly happy when I picked him up.
