My boyfriend recently got his wisdom teeth removed and a cavity filled about a month ago. In the beginning, the staff was awesome and the surgery went well and everything is fine. Now since it’s been a month, his jaw and temple are still swollen and he still can’t sleep through the night with the amount of pain he is in. He’s been switching back and forth with over the counter pain meds and they barely work. He just went in for his check up and told the dentist and nurse and neither of them seemed to care. They said nothing seems to be out of the ordinary and this is all normal. They didn’t prescribe him anything nor did they discuss or answer questions that he had concerning his swelling and pain. The nurse told him “this doctor is in particularly stingy with prescribing meds” what kind of doctor and office is this?! Seriously disappointed with this place and their work. All they care about is getting their money and could care less about their patients. Looks like he’ll just have to “deal” with it and still be out over a thousand dollars because of this place.

Called on a Monday. Got scheduled for the same Monday. Fixed dentures in less than an hour. Reasonable price. The whole experience from my phone call to problem solved was less than 3 hrs. I couldn't believe how easy and quick this experience was. So nice not to fight tooth and nail and jump thru hundreds of hoops for a change.

This place is idiotic!! I told them my back Moller had cracked in half and I needed an antibiotic first because the swelling was to bad to open my mouth for the x-ray's, they said okay, and when I got there they said unless we can take the x-rays first, We can't write you a prescription for the antibiotics you'll have to go to your family physician, What? This place had many bad reviews and now I see why.

I've had several fillings done at this Aspen Dental location over the years. My experiences were not great, but good enough. A couple months ago I went in for an exam. The office manager then handed me a "treatment plan" that included 2 cleanings and a bunch of extra fillings I didn't feel I needed - no price per procedure, just the total. She said I had to sign the "plan" and put down a deposit that day. I felt like I was talking to a used car salesman, so I left without signing. I called back later to try to get an appointment for the 1 filling I did want, was told I would have to GO BACK, get a NEW "treatment plan" and make a deposit - before they would even see me! I've never had a dentist do that. What if I had an actual emergency, and they wouldn't even see me? It's ridiculous, and I found a new dentist.

Made appointments for my partner and I on Monday via phone call. Received confirmation of appointments via email and text and confirmed them myself. Received an email that we needed to reschedule. I called to determine the issue and was told that they do not see patients from the same household on the same day. I know this wasn’t true due to just scheduling over the phone and explaining we were from the same household, they said no problem. We also had appointments at another Aspen location and this was not a problem. When trying to explain that we share the same day off and that we already had confirmation, and that my partner had dental anxiety, they stated nothing could be done and the phone “disconnected” twice and I continued to call back. Another location had cancelled our appointments without notifying us, so I was hopeful this was not a company issue. Was left with no other option or assistance and will not return to Aspen after our experiences.

****** UPDATED —— 3/30/22 ******** Just as a follow up to my earlier frustrations. I feel if I complain that I revise when improvements have been done. I went back in earlier this week, due to them being able to move up a day, and then were extremely nice and professional. I really like the front counter girl. She somehow knows who I am after only my first visit. She says that it is due to me using a cane but she knows her job as do all the office and staff. My lower issues were corrected within 5-10 minutes of me going back. I am extremely happy that I went back and very happy with all that work at the Oak view Aspen Dental. Even though I did have some complaints in earlier visits, they were extremely professional in ensuring that all the issues that I had were corrected. I would recommend Aspen Dental to anyone that would happen to ask. GREAT JOB TO THE OAKVIEW ASPEN DENTAL!!! The staff were extremely kind and showed that they cared about the patients. Katrina did a great job handling the front on her own due to them being short staffed. Just as a follow up, I was very happy with my first experience until me new set of dentures were completed. That is when my extreme frustration began. I received my dentures around the end of January but have only been able to wear them less then 7-9 days. These due to the extreme wait time just to get a 10 minute adjustment. They finally got my top perfect but now my lower one is causing severe swelling and I can’t wear them. I tried calling on Friday at 12:50 but the out of office was already on. I left a message then. I tried again yesterday but realized it was a holiday but left another message for a early call back this morning. NO call back. I finally called back at 10:30 only to be told that I could not get in for a 15 minute adjustment until March 1st. I took that but it is crazy. I am living on disability and had to pay $2,252.60 since I do not have insurance. That is a gigantic hit to a budget such as mine. I am past upset!!

Aspen Dental Scheduling, I believe You CANCELLED Our Appointments, March 21 12:00 and 12:45, Darrel & Deb Kois. As 2 New Patients I asked the receptionist to reschedule our two appointments together as soon as possible, she said, “That’s Not Possible” (even after being told I am Blind and rely on my wife to get around) said, “I cancelled your appointments” then Immediately hung-up, She didn’t set up any means of making another appointment, so I am guessing they don’t want us as New Patients? The first person we contacted as Aspen Dental, Cassiopeia was Very Kind, Polite, and Helpful, I found the Next person answering their Phone (did not give her name, not at all surprisingly) was Much the Opposite, rude and unprofessional to the max. From other reviews can I guess this is the Office Manager Shannon?

The staff was very pushy on what they said I needed to do to get my treatment done and said that the treatment was not in my control. I needed to get a filling done and they said they would not work with the fact that I had braces and that was super dumb and I did not feel welcomed nor would I want anyone to have to go there. They acted like it was hard to work with you and it would be really hard to see my husband and I at the same time. The doctor wasn't genuine and made me and my husband feel bad about our teeth and pretended like they cared to have us as patients when they didn't seem to care at all.

The receptionist was great. She called me back when she had cancellations to see if wanted to move my appointment to a sooner time. The two people who worked with the dentist were very good. Friendly and gentle when working on my teeth. Also two people took X-rays of my mouth which was cool bc they used machines that worked around my head and a wand that was moved around inside my mouth to reveal the shape, size, condition and my bite. The X-rays went very fast. Finally I he dentist was good as well. Told me exactly what I needed and I was able to schedule my next appointment when it was convenient for me. I highly recommend Aspen dental center at Oakview.

I had not been to the dentist for longer than I care to admit and was nervous to come in. However, the whole staff at Aspen Dental made my appointment as easy and stress free as possible. They set up a cleaning plan for me and were able to accommodate me the very next day after my consultation. I had scaling and root planing performed and the appointment was very quick and the most painless dentist appointment I have ever had, despite having a deep cleaning done. My teeth/gums feel and look so much better now. I am now actually looking forward to coming back to the dentist again! Thank you!
