All My Sons Moving & Storage

It went great. Not a whole lot to bring up. It was a tough job with moving into the third floor with very tall flights of stairs and no elevator. I probably had more than the estimate expected cause the move came about quick and I wasn't able to get rid of as much as I expected. Andrew and the others were cool and they still got it done by the estimate time. Also for whatever reason I had a hard time getting moving companies to respond past their first quote. I contacted 4 companies. All My Sons and College Hunks were the only ones responsive. College Hunks was unable to pick up from my zip code. So thanks to all my sons for being able to get it done.

Called on Tuesday and was able to get set up for a Friday move. Everyone very helpful. Explained all costs and no surprises. Movers came this morning. They called to let me know they were on there way. Very professional and careful with preparation. Finished in 3 hours. Always making sure everything got moved. When to next house made sure where things were suppose to go. Very happy with everything.

We used All My Sons for a small move that consisted of a few pieces of furniture and about 9 boxes. Ben and Levi were the crew for the job and they did an outstanding job! This was a little challenging because the stuff had to go to the basement, down stairs and negotiating around a stair lift. It was also at the end of a long day after they had done another move, so I'm sure they were tired. I commend them on staying focused, exhibiting professionalism at all times, and their always-kind attitude. I would recommend All My Sons to anyone planning a move, and if you can get Ben and Levi, you won't be disappointed.

Gave inventory including telling the initial woman that we had boxes and furniture. I was given a quote of $189/hr for 3 guys. On inventory that was sent via email I also stated we had boxes (not a specific amount because I was still packing and didn't know) and our furniture. Spoke with someone on the phone again to confirm inventory, again told them we had boxes but weren't sure how many. I just told them we had a 2 bedroom apartment and a storage unit full of boxes. Upon arrival of the movers I was told they couldn't take my boxes because I didn't tell them how many we had on the inventoey and they had another job to do that day. The solution they provided was returning to pick up 2 more guys and paying $315/hr. Big lack of communication and the manager Adam was very rude on the phone. Stating I had multiple opportunities to tell them how many boxes I had. The men doing the actual moving of our things were great. They were quick, efficient, kind and entertaining. Specifically a mover named Dante. Very professional and kind, no standing around, emptied an entire room by himself while the other 4 were working on two rooms together. He was great and is definitely going places, hopefully not with this company.

I was in a scramble to set up a move because a different company I was going to use ended up not working out at the last minute. I had previously moved from NC back to NE and was keeping my belongings in a storage unit until finding a place. I was frustrated because I was initially told that I would be the second move and it would be between 11-1 but the day of the move, I called when I hadn’t heard from anyone by 11:30 and was told it would be later. Later that afternoon I got the call from Octavian with his ETA and from that point on, my experience was phenomenal! I had seen his name on several reviews and had hoped he would be the one to help but didn’t think I could request him since I was setting it up in such a short period of time. Octavian and Dante showed up and apologized for how late it was but had amazing positive attitudes. They had been working hard all day but we were laughing the whole time. They opened the storage unit and the way the previous moving company had loaded it, it was a disaster. These guys ensured that they took care of my things just as if it was their own belongings, when it was evident that the other moving company hadn’t cared at all. Unfortunately, because of the way the storage unit had been packed, it took a lot longer and it started pouring down rain. Octavian talked to me about what my options were and I decided to have them move me into my apartment the next morning, for their safety and to protect my belongings from the rain as much as possible. But the thing that stuck out to me the most was not how Octavian took care of my belongings, but he ensured that I wouldn’t slip on the wet floor when I was leaving the storage facility. He really takes pride in his work and makes sure his customers are taken care of. The next morning, Octavian showed up with Levi and Damien. It was early on a Sunday but they also were fantastic! They worked so quickly and efficiently. Once again, I saw deliberate care of all of my belongings. They found ways to maneuver large furniture in tight spaces and really focused on making sure they didn’t put any scratches on any walls. These guys were also a great team and so friendly. Moving is stressful enough, then when office errors happen on top of all that, it is exhausting. But as soon as Octavian and his crew showed up, I knew I made the right choice in moving companies.

I really didn’t want to select any stars.. but since I had to I selected 1 which is not even deserved. This is our review based on our recent move with All My Sons. It seemed like we mainly had a two man crew as we saw two of the guys lifting all the heavy stuff and the other guy we didn't really see him. We were told that our outdoor coffee table broke which was told to the office immediately by the crew but later noticed the glass was not fully cleaned up from main roadway by the apartment building. When we were getting settled, I noticed that two more of our items were damaged; a decorative glass window, and a dent in a cube storage shelf that had not been wrapped. We were told they were at the end of the truck so therefore they couldn't put remaining belongings or boxes in the truck. Which caused us a good amount of several more trips. Mind you, I am 6 months pregnant and cannot move or lift much, let alone, my husband cannot for other health reasons. Feels like we did just as many trips as they did just to get all remaining things that were left. Boxes that were used to wrap tvs were left in our apartment for us to take care of. Heard cussing and complaining that we were moving from 3rd floor to 3rd floor. We also filled out our inventory checklist and mentioned we had three glass tables, but were told it would be better if we take them ourselves.. defeats the purpose of the checklist if your movers aren’t taking everything we have or indicate we have. This was our second time using this company, and it will most likely be the last. For the amount of money we spent and the time they moved us just didn’t equal out based on our opinions and what we saw. When I called to speak with someone in the office, about the broken table, etc. they made a comment they would compensate for some of the fuel cost, but also said we had the best team. It was hard to believe for us when the two guys did all/majority of the work that was done which still seemed like the bare minimum. If it had to compare to our previous time using this company, our two man crew that we had as one guy quit right before our move did so much better than the 3 that were hired this time. So much disappointment for sure. We expect to have a resolution on this and more of a compensation as it was embarrassing.

The move went very well, the guys were nice. I loved how they disassembled & wrapped all the furniture in plastic to make sure it was transported from my old place to my new place in the same condition as it was, boxes as well. They also assembled the furniture in my new place the way I wanted, which was a huge help! When you move it is smart to have a budget so you’ll be prepared for the cost & gladly I was able to stay within my price range. I would definitely recommend All My Sons to anyone who needs movers. Octavian, Jace and Assan of All My Sons were timely, efficient and careful. Many moves in Omaha previously . These folks are far and away the best. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Travis Tierney

Terrible experience. My recommendation is to go with another company. -they damaged my home and furniture -Put items together wrong -Left tons of items behind -Left their trash on my floor -Damaged walls -One mover was high -Another mover was complaining about how his paycheck was not received -They used needle nose pliers to take apart my furniture This added more stress to my move. I had to move so many items on my own because they refused to make another trip. My recommendation is to spend the money for a quality moving company. I really want to help keep this from happening to another family.
