Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar

Very good food! Our favorite was gumbo. Oysters Rockefeller was also very good along with the Deep South risotto. My kids had calamari gone before I could even try it. Oysters on half shell were fresh and a bargain during happy hour. Curry sauce on mussels was amazing. Staff was great, and overall an awesome night out while visiting Omaha.

We are a big fan of this place; we always order the shrimp po’ boy and it is always fantastic. It comes with the most delicious remounted on top, which adds an incredible flavor profile to the crispy shrimp sandwhich. The sandwhich also comes with “baby cakes” which are like flat tater tots. They always come out piping hot and are delicious to dip in their soups. We also have had wonderful fish here when we’ve tried the blackened red fish, orange roughy and oysters. The gumbo here is some of the best I’ve had, and we’ve always enjoyed their specials. We are leaving Omaha, and during our 2 years here have probably dined here 30+ times. We have always had wonderful servers who have made us feel welcome from our first visit. My only recommendation is that they use better bread for their sandwhiches and po’ boys. We LOVE the crispy shrimp inside; as well as the delicious fish in the sandwhiches, and truly believe the sandwhich would be completely perfect with a high quality sandwhich bread. Overall, as we leave Omaha, this was one of the places I reccomend to everyone, tourists and locals. They have wonderful service, drinks, and foods of all kinds.

Cool spot! Good happy hour options. The gumbo had some good flavor. The jambalaya was okay but was a bit bland to my taste, but since everyone else's dishes looked really good, still well worth 4+ stars and good service.

Excellent seafood place. Got the 2 pounds of Snow crab legs... got stuffed. Love crab legs.. did oysters for starters and good. Never had..

Loved the food!! The handicapped parking was a bit of a joke. In the back of the restaurant with only gravel. The food was excellent!!! As you can see from the photos...we kind of forgot to take photos until we were almost done! Oh...in one of the Oysters Rockefeller...we found a pearl!!

One of my favorite places to eat at in Omaha for happy hour. The atmosphere here is casual. Happy hour goes from 3-6 pm. The oysters are $1/each. Generally they serve the west points but that is based on availablilty. The have other oysters on their daily menu page. Recently the peel and eat shrimp price increased. Previously it was 35 cents per shrimp, but now it is $4 for the first docen and 35 cents each after that. The calamari is a must order here, crispy and tasty. Visit Shucks for some great seafood.

Wonderful atmosphere! They have patio seating if it’s a nice day it might be fun to sit out there. The customer service was fantastic. I’m so impressed with their selection of allergy friendly foods! I got a po boy and it wasn’t to spicy for my sensitive palate so I very much appreciate that. It was a little chilly in there so maybe bring a light cardigan

I enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was tasty. I had lobster bisque which was a good consistency however lacked the meat. The catfish fingers were right on point! Fried just right and seasoned well.

I had never had the pleasure of eating here but for my first time experience it was amazing. I had the seafood taco it was soooo delicious. We had a party of 6. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It’s a small place so if you want a big party you may have to sit at different tables. The only thing that was disappointing is that they they ran out of burgers which 2 in my party wanted but they did order the fish baskets which they were highly satisfied. Great service, food was hot, no long wait times. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars only because they ran out of burgers.

16 years after they opened we finally got around to going. We are originally from New Orleans and my wife wanted oysters for her birthday. They did not disappoint. I had the lobster stuffed mushrooms (normally an appetizer) and a side dish of green bean risotto. The meal was excellent.
