Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar

We might’ve had the best meal of our trip here! Every bite of food we had here was fantastic, I had the fish enchiladas my spouse had the salmon, every bite was incredible especially the rice! The service was fantastic! This place isn’t much to look at it from the outside because it is just a storefront but the service and the food are fabulous, and I wish we lived here so we could come back again!

Not sure if Pepsi or Coke, as I had a good bloody Mary. This place should be rated $$$ or $$$$ and not $$. The biggest disappointment was the total disregard for garlic. My blackened chicken breast was perfectly black seasoned cooked and very tender and moist. The Alfredo sauce was just plain...garlic was missing. The crab legs were very good, however, the butter to dip them in was missing the garlic.

I will try to upload my video if it will allow me so you can capture the full effects of this review. The sides were good. Vegetables and rice Amazing. The crab NEVER AGAIN!! This was my very first experience and the only reason why I did this instead of cooking the King crab in my freezer was sheer laziness and that's what I get because this crab was so dry I didn't know if I was eating Seafood or Sandfood. All the crab meat was stuck to the shell. Bland taste with Bland butter but I don't even need butter if the crab is good. The appearance was decent but mannnn was I disappointed. The crab size was decent in appearance but that's it. Omaha is really just not great for Seafood such as crab or lobster unless you make it yourself.

What happened? This used to be one of my families favorite places to eat and it was so massively disappointing that we likely will never return and I will definitely not be recommending you like I used to. I probably have sent you 20 or more of my clients, bought gift cards during the holidays to get more people eating locally and have not realized the quality has dropped so drastically. Your peel and eats went up a dollar but you are using salad shrimp now too. My daughters salmon was so over cooked the albumin was coming out and it was dry. My wife's seafood enchiladas were 60 percent uncooked veg. The jambalaya the rice was undercooked and the chicken tasted like it was thrown in at the last second because it essentially tasted like boiled chicken. The red beans and rice tasted like boiled beans on top of undercooked rice. I asked for a coke refill 4 different times to 3 different servers and only got it when the server that forgot it the first time came back. We ordered hurricanes that tasted like Hawaiian punch with no alcohol and 5 of the 12 oysters we ordered were still attached to the shell. We spent close to 25 dollars a person and we had two children with us. It's like you cut corners on every front and the quality just isn't there anymore to justify the price.

Another first-time visit. Loved it! Actually, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and of course excellent food! Our bar drinks were great and we especially enjoyed the clam strips...very tender and flavorful. As for the lobster bisque...very rich and decadent. Yum! The Peach Cobbler was pretty tasty as well.

Went with the PO boy sandwich and substituted it with fish instead of shrimp. Very good! Clam chowder was perfect.

I am only giving this place 5 stars because you can't give 10! There was a 25-minute wait, but I saw why once I got seated. Service was outstanding! Drinks were perfect and came out super fast. Our server Mario is one of the nicest, most personable, helpful, and friendly people you'll ever meet! This kid made us feel right at home! The food is some of the best Omaha dining I've ever had. The prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were way bigger than you'd expect. I'll definitely be bringing my family back to this place! Thanks for getting it right Shucks!

Always good oysters. We get round abouts. And enjoy them. It's busy but good. And the service is great. I lost my oyster card though and they couldn't find me. I'm super bummed but it's my fault.

Finally got to try this place out. If you like seafood, this is a great place to get your fix. Got the shrimp poboy sandwich combo... Yum! Definitely try it out!

Very disappointed and do not recommend. The food and service were not great. Our food was wrong and we got one refill on our drinks when we were done eating. The lobster stuffed mushrooms had a strong unpleasant smell and taste. We took one bite and didn’t touch them again. We told the waitress and she only took $3 off. My son enjoyed his overpriced Kraft Mac and cheese though!
