First I arrived at 10:40am to pick up the van. I ended up pulling out at just after 12p..Half way through the day I found both rear tires where very bad, one had threads showing. Getting ahold of someone to report it to or help took over 40 mins. I tried to follow up and the customer service dept was less than helpful.I still have not talked to anyone e to get a resolution.

Reserved a car for one day, $105. Plans changed. Called 10 days in advance to extend reservation. They quoted $608 to return it Sunday instead of Saturday. RAPACIOUS. I said forget it, cancel everything, and they said it's $50 to cancel. I canceled and got a car on Turo for 1/3 the price in about three minutes. Will never use Payless again.

Rental was dirty inside there was also a cocoon above the driver's door on the moon roof ice cream on the seats popcorn underneath the driver's chair it was just horrible for being a rental and how the hell did a butterfly start to build a cocoon above the door and nobody noticed it it was huge

some of the worst customer experience I’ve ever come across. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to extend my rental by 1 day due to flight getting pushed back and was jerked around by customer service reps the entire time. Will never use this service again, truly a disgusting display of incompetence. When the individuals working the booth decide to just ‘turn off the phone because it’s busy’ - it’s an excellent indication that you’re dealing with a business that can’t tell it’s head from its rear.

I would be happy using Payless if it was not for the fact that they will arbitrarily bill you for fuel charges days after your return a vehicle when the car was returned full. I filled the tank of a car I rented in Phoenix only a few miles from the airport and even pushed more fuel after the pump shut off to make sure it was topped off. Weeks later I see a charge on my corporate card with no explanation. After contacting customer service, they claim the vehicle has sensors that showed there was a gallon less than when I picked the car up even though I have pictures of the fuel gage showing it was full.

Terrible. When our airline canceled our flight and we couldn't arrive until a day later, I called to let them know that we would not be able to pick up the car until the next morning. They said we would not be charged, no problem. We were charged and can't talk to anyone that cares to fix the problem. Won't use them again.

All rental cars are expensive right now. That being said, the service was excellent. Checking in a breeze and had my car within 10 minutes. The car was absolutely stunning and I paid the lowest price, and when I drop the car off and took exactly 5 minutes. I would definitely rent from this company again.

The vehicle interior smelled like smoke. It wasn’t clean. The front and rear window inside was filthy. I cleaned them right after I got home from the airport. There was a film of dirt on the back window that I cleaned off. The window washer fluid wasn’t working. My daughter pulled down the visor and saw an obscene symbol drawn on the mirror.

They didn't reserve a compact car as requested. I recieved a RAM 1500 HEMI. I returned it on time and quite clean. It was cleared on returned inspection yet SOMEHOW they decided to overcharge me by $128.00 for full tank of gas, when I returned it with a full tank. Now they tell me they must submit a request to refund my money and IF it's approved it will take 5-7 business days for it to show on my account. A nightmare from the start.
