So headed back home from our trip and my father and I decided to get a good steak for the evening. We didn’t want to go somewhere to pricy because we just weren’t dressed for the fancy places! We stepped into Omaha Prime and it was like stepping back into time! The decor is older but not horrible! But let’s be real. I was there for the steak not the decor. I ordered the Caesar Salad and bone in filet. Caesar salad was fresh and had actual anchovies on it. That provided a new level of saltiness that I had not had. I have to say it was one of the best caesars I have had. The bone in filet... was it worth the extra money or not? I would vote just to get a normal filet. But hey I can say I tried it! The filet was cooked perfectly and was a great piece of meat. Tender and seasoned well. My father ordered the hash browns and asparagus family style sides which were both good. Overall I can say the service was excellent, they have a great bourbon collection to choose from, and the steak was great.

It's was a girl's night out and taking my niece out to a very nice steak dinner. We enjoyed the setting and the establishment in downtown Omaha. The flavor of the food was very good, I think all of our favorite was the lobster white truffle oil garlic mashed potatoes, also there was hardly any lobster pieces in it. My sister and niece ordered filet mignons and you can tell that they were cooked a perfect medium and was so "squishy" as my niece called it but tender and juicy. My ribeye, unfortunately, was overcooked. I ordered a medium which only the very center was a slight medium well and everything else around it was well done. The broccoli did not have any seasoning, it was just steamed. We did not like the creme brulee, it was too runny and not a custard texture. The bread pudding was the first that we have had and it was surprisingly tasty. It was a dense texture and liked the caramel like sauce, I do wish that it was served a little warmer instead of cold.

Very dated, everything screams late 80s early 90s, including how they prepared the food. I was disappointed in the French onion soup, it was simply boxed beef stalk and undercooked onions smothered in motz cheese. The steak was delicious, but outside of that all the sides were lacking flavor.

First time to Omaha and my coworker and I were looking to try an Omaha steak for the first time. We were walking downtown and saw Omaha Prime and their sign said "best steak in the country", so we thought this is the place to go. Let me start with the initial service and presentation of the steaks and whatnot was great.. We ordered two steaks to share, the tbone and filet mignon along with two sides.. Long story short the steaks were a major let down. Neither were mid-rare like we ordered but mid-well and they simply lacked juiciness and flavor. As we ate we jokingly talked about how we could easily make a better steak at home, and how "this isn't even the best steak I've had this week". So much for the best steak in the country. Sadly to say that for the price this place isn't worth it, which is a shame because the service was pretty good.

My $84 steak was underseasoned, over cooked and bland and everyone who ordered the same steak agreed. Others said their steak was good - I should have gone with the filet. We had a large group and servers were nice, but service was slow. Food came out at odd times... mashed potatoes sat on the table for 15 minutes before anything else was served - other sides came out half way through dinner. Very disappointing.

If you’re black stay away. We arrived at our reservation early. Our reservation was at 6 they pushed it back until 8:00. We arrived on time, Terry was immediately rude, even from the time we called earlier. They did not take our orders until 8:56 four minutes before the kitchen closed. This is not the first racist experience here. To make matters worse, Terry the manager throughout microagressions all night. We were dressed nice, acting appropriately, yet Terry called police and lied stating we came in intoxicated and we were fighting nobody was drunk we would all pass a breathalyzer if given the chance, nobody was fighting. The police came and the police stated he was the problem and he was starting and irate with us. He called us female dogs and he also jumped at my auntie, who was nothing but polite. I will NOT be back and I have read other similar experiences from people of Color. Why take orders then proceed like you’re closed, but let non poc in the dining room eat. Even they said that it was unfair. As you can see we were all dressed nice.

Definitely a disappointment. Wanted a great steak in Omaha and I got a barely 1/4 inch thick well done ribeye that I had to send back. I never send food back but for $84 I was not paying for that. Service was great, otherwise avoid this place. Overly dressed salad, subpar steak and steamed Brussels with no flavor at all. NOT worth it.

Everything top to bottom was stellar. We split everything because the portion sizes were enormous. Steak melted like butter. Wines were great. Peach Melba was fantastic. Our server John was new but was on par 100%. We would absolutely go again.

Fine dining served in a more casual laid back atmosphere. The table setting says fine dining. We went for our anniversary dinner (and told them on the reservation). The host seated us at an odd location at first which was a table just inside the main dining area of the second floor but it was in the doorway. Our back was to the other side of the dining room that they turned off the lights to. (Aka: darkness) We asked to switch seats to the balcony area over looking the atrium which was much more pleasant and romantic. I would highly suggest requesting for this. We started off our meal with the duck wings. They were not dry (a good point). The sauce was an orange sauce (duck is typically paired with it). I give it 4 stars. Dinner comes with bread service served with a whipped butter. The bread rolls are served hot and fresh Ribeye steak 5 stars Grilled nicely, served at the right temperature. It hit all the right spots. You were able to cut it with a butter knife. My man cut it with his fork to show how tender it was at some points Filet 11 oz Oscar style 4 stars It just didn't compare to the ribeye. The extra cost of Oscar style seems worth it as it's a generous amount of lump crab and you get a few spears of asparagus as well. I do not have a huge appetite so if given the choice I would have gone for the ribeye. White truffle Garlic mashed potatoes Taste is 5 stars but if it's supposed to have white truffle I don't taste it which would drop it to a 4 if that's your expectation. Baked sweet potato 3 stars I wanted to love it, the sauce is paired with us very nice, but the sweet potato itself just didn't taste very good. Maybe it was a fluke we got a mediocre to bad one? I make sweet potatoes all the time and this one just wasn't ok got me. I'd recommend a glass of the alias red to go with your steak. It was very good. My husband booked it as an anniversary dinner, so we did get a complimenty New York cheesecake with a candle. We ordered the banana bread dessert. 4 stars I liked it, but I'm not a fan of cooked nuts in my dessert. If you like it, this might be a 5 for you. Service was friendly and laid back. There were not many people in the restaurant the evening we went so the server had a lot of time to talk with us. He was genuine and seemed to enjoy his job. This restaurant is located in the old market where the atrium is. Parking was typical of trying to find it in the old market, we came early and did not have a problem.
