After using Hertz car rental for many years we have not been happy with them lately. Their pricing has went up by just too much. Other car rental company's ate much lower. Also because we chose not to have a credit card but only use a debit card they want to reserve $500 on our account. I feel that is way to much.

Had a parked company vehicle hit by a car rented from Hertz of Omaha. I was disappointed with their response times, avoidance to communicate on if the vehicle was insured and by whom, and pressure to only use vendors they had a business relationship with. They tried to settle out of insurance and refused to answer questions based on who was insuring the vehicle until I had an estimate in hand, and a month later finally turned the claim over to insurance. My contact there was Erica Morissey. After that, it was resolved within one week. It took three months to resolve this fender bender because of Hertz's communication and slow decision making.

Man, this store/location is something else. Clearly ask for a refund, lady told me the standard 7-10 days for it to hit my account......OK cool. Two in a half weeks later. I got to filed a dispute because of a Incompetent worker. HERTZ! Go teach your omaha airport customer service the correct procedures. Cause I don't think giving a me a 18+ hotline for HQ to help fix this problem is a procedure.🤔

This Hertz location is AWFUL. I reserved & paid for a car online. Went to pick it up and the extremely rude woman working would not accept my credit card, after I had already paid ahead of time with that same card. I tried giving my debit card and she told me it would be an additional $500 deposit that I would not get back. I asked her to cancel my reservation and give me a refund. She said there was no way for me to be refunded. I called the Hertz corporate number and they said that my credit card should have been accepted & they issued my refund over the phone. HORRIBLE experience & the worst customer service I’ve ever witnessed.

terrible experience. pretty much exactly the same thing that happened to Morgan happened to me. except they told me I would be refunded but the charge still showed up on the card. when I called to have them fix it, the lady that answered was absolutely ZERO help. blamed me for not reading the fine print when her employee told me he'd cancel the reservation. i naively took him at his word. we ended up getting a whole new agreement under my coworker's name with me as the driver. that same employee told me I could switch the charge to my card when i returned the car. when i gave them my card, it again declined in their system, but the charge went through on my account. i ended up having to still charge it to the other card and now i'm just hoping that the pending charge on my account falls off. suuuuuper excited to have to call them back if it doesn't........bottom line, don't rent from them!!!

Love the new car rental garage at Eppley. Hertz needs to put a sign up to inform Gold members that they can go directly to the garage so they don't have to wait in line. I asked the clerk if I could go straight down to the garage if I already had a reservation and he said yes. A couple of people that were standing in line followed us down. There are places to sit in the rental car area and there are walls of windows so there are plenty of things to look at while you wait. There is a see through floor area over by the rest rooms that has an industrial glass that you can walk on and see the cars driving below. The walk to the cars is enclosed now which will be nice in the winter.

I rented a 7 PAX vehicle less than 24 hrs ago, and the battery died this morning. I request emergency roadside assistance and they jumped it and had me go exchange it at the franchised HERTZ rental center at the airport. That’s the good part. Upon arriving, a female attendant approached with a very negative attitude holding her hands out for the keys, not asking who I was, why I was there, or remotely caring about what the issue was. She was seemingly upset to even have to step out the office. She locked my personable belongings in the car and proceeded to the male attendant without acknowledging me at all (again). The male attendant initially said there was nothing he could do, then offered me a mid-size sedan cheaper (and insufficient for my passenger punt) than the larger suv I paid for. It was a difficult process until I mentioned that I needed a number for the main office or franchise manager. Suddenly, another 7 PAX became available shortly thereafter (it was already in the lot). He was not the problem here though, and he made it right. The lady working between 7-8 am (9.27.22) in that boxed office was. She clearly still had a terrible attitude about everything, didn’t want to open the mechanical arm to let me out, so the guy did. This isn’t about member status or anything. It was about doing the right thing and proper customer service. Would I ever use HERTZ at the OMA airport again? No. Most of their vehicles have med-high mileage (over 60K miles), and again, the lack of decent customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would. Was charged $2,700 for returning the car to wrong location. Tried to work with Hertz on the reservation. They don’t care about their customers only about money in their pockets. A joke of a company. Will never use them again and will tell every friend and family I have to never use Hertz to rent a car. Heaven forbid you make a mistake as a human, but Hertz will take all of your money especially two days before Christmas. The owner could have excelled with their customer service and worked with us but chose not to. Hope she feels good about herself and can sleep well at night!

I did not even get my car. I called a day before said I was local and needed to rent a car for a day. Told them that I only have a debit card. They said debt/credit is fine on the phone. I showed up that morning and they said I didn't have a reservation with them but with thrifty. When I went to thrifty they said they only take credit or someone with a round trip ticket. I was unable to get a car and lucky budget does take debt cards. All around horrible experience was late for my trip do not recommend.

I’d like to write a lovely review of the Hertz in the Omaha airport and give a shout out to the amazing employee named Dom. He is by far the most organized, gracious, trustworthy & hardworking individual I’ve seen in a very long time in the car rental industry. He stays calm even when there is an overwhelming line of customers to tend to and he’s the only individual working the lot in the customer service sector. It takes an extreme amount of patience & a high level of exemplary customer service to handle the multiple jobs he does at one time with a smile & calm demeanor. Employees like that make the Hertz company shine and standout which keeps me, the customer, always coming back. He is management material and if anyone deserves a raise it’s this person. You do a wonderful job Dom. Thank you for always making my experience at Hertz rental car a great one. Keep up the outstanding work! God Bless, Lisa Dennard 🙏👍
