Desiree Young's Home Child Care and Preschool

Our son has thrived in Desiree's care! She is professional, caring, and has high standards of care. The children follow a curriculum which was important to us. He is always so proud of his accomplishments on the numerous projects they complete! We couldn't be happier with the care he is receiving and would definitely recommend Desiree to any fellow parents! She also has an open door policy to all parents and is highly communicative. A great care provider!

My older daughter attended birth to age 5 alongside my nephew. They transitioned extremely well into a kindergarten setting and still talk about attending her home, especially the good food. My younger daughter is currently enrolled. Desiree offers a licensed compliant and clean program. She has taken extra steps to ensure the safety of all families during the pandemic. Desiree is extremely structured and provides a curriculum based program. Desiree communicates timely and effectively. I have always dropped off my kids knowing they’re in good hands. A wonderful learning environment that is safe. Highly recommend.

We got lucky and somehow found Desiree the week before I was returning to work. I withdrew our spot at a center because my mom gut was not feeling it. When we walked into Desiree's house it instantly "felt right". She was quickly engaged with our son and taking him out of his carseat to meet him. This was meant to be. We have always called it "school" not "daycare" because she does such a great job helping the kids learn independence and all the skills they will need to be ready for kindergarten. The communication on progress at school was always eye opening. As a first time mom and dad there are so many things you don't know. Example: Desiree asked how our son was doing with a fork at home and telling me how he had really been getting it down at school. We hadn't even thought to give him a fork yet. Our son would not have been ready for kindergarten if it weren't for her curriculum. He would bring home all the crafts and writing he did. We saw the progress of all his skills. He was great at cutting, writing his whole name, glueing, following direction and coloring inside the lines. We now have a second child enrolled in her program and have even referred our niece. The cousins get to learn and grow together while in a safe environment. Desiree has a few cats and a dog and my kids have had so much fun with the animals. They are all well behaved and are almost therapy animals. I love watching our daughter pause on her way to get her shoes on to pet a kitty and give it love. My sister has a major cat allergy and I have a slight allergy to cats and we have never had issues because the house is always so clean! Desiree is always reliable!! I don't think I could even count on one had the number of times she has had to cancel last minute for an emergence. Thanks Desiree for being such a great bonus mom to our kids. Desiree goes above and beyond with her care for the kids!! She loves every kid as her own and truly invests in the children. She is structured, polite, professional, and loving. We were so honored that God placed her into our lives. It’s been a over a year since we’ve taken our daughter there (change of work place for me) and she still asks to go over to Miss Desiree’s. She truly impacts the children in an amazing way!

After my twins were born, I was blessed to find daycare for them at Desiree's Child Care and Preschool. I have five children and Desiree was by far the best "dayhome" teacher that I have ever had. As a high school teacher, I found her preschool curriculum was far more rigorous than many other places. I was not wrong! When my twins started school, they were more advanced in writing, reading and math. My children were also better behaved and had much more emotional control. There is not one other person that I would recommend for daycare and preschool. She is amazing!

Desiree has provided caring, professional care for my family for years. Very organized and friendly! She is the first person I recommend to anyone looking for childcare.

We have had our daughter at Desiree’s since she was 6 months old. She will be leaving to got to kindergarten this fall. I honestly don’t think I could say enough about Desiree’s program. It is superb! My wife and I love that we get open and clear communication regarding the activities our daughter has done. The photos Desiree sends of the kids having fun and learning are great. We love the personal service and attention that Desiree puts into her program. I am so great full for all the attention, care and love that our daughter has received while she has been in Desiree’s care. I know that she is ready for her next chapter in life because of all the time and effort that Desiree puts into all the children in her care.

Desiree is very professional and has a huge positive impact on both of my children. My youngest has milk and egg allergies and she has gone above and beyond to keep him away from that stuff. She also sends pictures of the kids doing fun stuff which I love. Highly recommended!

My daughter went to Desiree starting at 1.5 years old with terrible separation anxiety. Desiree was so calm and loving with her that it didn’t last very long and my girl was happy to come and sad to leave. Desiree is very open and straightforward with her expectations/rules, etc. She has made my family feel welcome and comfortable in her home from the beginning of checking out her home when deciding to place our daughter as well as during pick up/drop off. Desiree has a structured daily routine with the kids who are all very respectful and come out very well prepared to start kindergarten. My daughter came home every day with fun learning activities and crafts. She was always excited to tell me about her day and show me her work. Sending my daughter to Desiree’s childcare/preschool I know she is safe, cared for and is looking out for her future success. Desiree is by far hands down the best childcare provider any parent could ask for.
