Budget Car and Truck Rental

(Reposted from another location so more people see it) I had a rented a car for a few days about two weeks ago from the dodge location; something came up so I called to cancel it. Per the policy, there is $150 fee deducted from the total, which I was okay with and understood. The associate I had spoken to said "your reservation is cancelled and you will see your refund in 3-10 business days." Come Monday (10 business days) still no refund. I called the corporate number today after being directed there. After waiting for an hour I finally spoke to someone in regards to the situation, seeking my refund (a lot of money). She told me there is "no proof or notes of the cancellation" and that she would "take it up with her supervisor." She also noted she could not assure a refund, even though I had called within a 24 hour period of the pick up time and date. I may get a letter in the mail or something? The connection was spotty and she spoke broken English. Either way, I'm at a loss for words in the way this has been handled. DO NOT rent from Budget if you don't want your money stolen. Bunch of swindlers. P.S. The "email" they provided me to reach out to them about this issue does not exist.

I had a terrible experience with Budget. Originally, had booked well in advance the rental. Our flight plan had changed and let Budget know the new flight number and time arriving. The first customer rep changed the flight number but forgot to change the time arriving. Called and was put on hold, told customer rep what happened and needed to have correct time put in. He told me pricing went up and told him that it was the company's fault for not having it right the first time. He hung up on me. Called again and got a supervisor. Told me to take it up with their customer relations team. I asked him to check the backlog of the calls I made. He said they only keep the last two calls. Enough is enough!!! I canceled my rental and went with a reputable rental car company. Beware of Budget!!! .

A great experience overall using fastbreak for pick up and return. The car was a brand new Ford, drove great, easy on gasoline, very comfortable across several states! Will use Budget again!

DO NOT USE!! I returned the car a half an hour EARLY and they said it was 4 hours late and charged me an entire extra day!! It was due at noon and I dropped it at 11:30am. Not to mention I reserved a sports car and when I got there they had none (then what's the point of RESERVING a car?) so they gave me a Toyota Camry that was a pile of garbage. NEVER USE BUDGET

Reserved a car her for a one-way a week in advance. I show up to the cluttered, dirty garage office (the terminal office was closed) and was informed that they didn't have any cars but they had "given by information to Hertz". I walked over to Hertz and they had a car but it was $60 more. I didn't have a lot of choice and was appreciative of Hertz for fitting me in, so I took it, but this Budget place is a mess literally and figuratively. If you use them do not be surprised if you turn up and they don't have a car for you.

Awful company! Do not use! Overcharged me over $200. "Tried" to talk to 3 different agents who said they will fix it and still has not. This car was for my honeymoon and it has been a nightmare. Their customer service is terrible.

This is my first time to rent from Budget. I’ll be honest, I’m saying the only reason why I rented here, is because many of the other ones were booked. I’m glad they were. The desk clerk, Vicky, was an absolute delight! Very friendly, and conversive as she got my paperwork ready. It was swift and I had no trouble checking the vehicle out and driving off. The car was a treat and I had no problem with it. Returning the car, was a piece of cake as well, and again, Vicky was superb!! If and when I’m back, I’ll be using Budget again because of your customer service. Thank you!

Customer service is really bad. Brittany is racist and not very friendly. It seems she is working because someone is forcing her to work. Also, they don’t respect customers who book from costco. So people please use Enterprise rental from costco only. Thwy have super customer service. Also, Brittany was typing personal information on computer without verifying with customer. After I found that she entered wrong phone number in system, and i asked to verify address and other information . Then she made a face and said its fine everything is correct. I feel she is being racist to non white people.

This rental car company is the worst customer service ever. The rental car company employees at the airport are lazy they don’t inspect your car going or coming and then they will call you at a later time claiming you damage the car. In which they threaten to charge my card almost $1000. Very very unprofessional. Now I have to take legal actions. Please please don’t rent from budget rental in Omaha airport it cost u headaches and problems

Update: I did end up getting an email from Enterprise per the fiasco below and they reimbursed me my cost to rent another car. I appreciate that and so I increased to 4 stars from 1 star. Original: I got stranded by Enterprise because their people didn't bother to stick around even though I had a reservation for midnight. I had to have a car and the only one available was from Budget. Rather than giving me a reasonable rate, they took advantage of me and charged me an ridiculously high rate. Budget had the chance to gain a customer who travels much, but taking advantage of my plight will result in me to continue to look for my next rental car company. Oh, and the car had several problems that I reported when I brought it back and agents just shrugged it off. No apology. No offer of a coupon. Nothing. Lousy quality + High prices = no bueno
