I came here for a regular check up. First of all, the office staff neglected to tell me their office was out of network for my insurance. Most offices at least give you that courtesy. According to Dr. Allen I had several cavities on both sides that needed to be filled. Her treatment plan included 3 follow up appointments to fill those, which would have cost me $1000 total. I went to another office for a second opinion and it turns out there was only one cavity. I cannot recommend this office. The only positive thing I will say is the dental hygienist I worked with was very kind and thorough.

Dr. Allen has renewed my faith in dentistry! I’ve had some less-than-pleasant experiences with root canals that left me quite fearful of visiting a dentist. When I found myself with a painful tooth I knew I didn’t have a choice but to seek treatment. I’m incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Allen. She could feel my apprehension and made sure the root canal experience was great from start to finish! I’d give her ten stars if I could!

Another dentist told me I needed a root canal, but I had a gut feeling that was not the case. I found Dr. Allen by searching for natural dentistry in Omaha. From the moment I walked in, every staff member was personable and kind. Dr. Allen was extremely understanding and listened to my concerns patiently and respectfully. Turns out I did not need a root canal, and Dr. Allen took care of me in a timely manner. I am so grateful I found her practice and will continue to see her for all my dental needs. Thank you!

Dr. Amber Allen is an amazing denist. I’ve had a problem with my bite for decades causing a tight jaw, sore teeth and headaches from clenching my teeth at night. While going in for new crowns yesterday on several teeth; through her diligence and excellent work she was able to correct my bite and this morning I woke up pain free! I’m so glad to have found Dr. Allen and her incredible staff. I would highly recommend her practice to anyone.

I first came to Dr. Allen because I needed to have a mouthful of mercury fillings removed and she was one of only two dentists in Omaha trained by The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IOAMT) in the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART). Even though I live on the other side of town, I have continued as a patient because of Dr. Allen and her staff’s knowledge of and commitment to holistic dentistry.

Always a great experience with Dr Allen and her staff! Always fast and friendly, would recommend to anyone! Always easy to take my 4 kids in at one time, they make it so easy!

My experience appears to echo a few others’ on here. I was new in town, trying to find a good dentist. I came in for a regular check-up/cleaning, but left extremely disappointed. They insisted I needed a “deep cleaning” which did not include anything other than picking at plaque. After they told me this, and the cost (which I knew my insurance would not cover), they immediately became hostile when I politely tried to ask for just a regular cleaning and told them I’d consider doing the deep cleaning once I got more settled into the area. The second they heard that, they brought in someone from their billing department to speak with me about why I was “refusing service” and that I shouldn’t worry about my insurance - it would probably get paid for anyways. I knew my insurance, and knew that they only cover regular check-ups, not a deep clean “technology” that ended up costing me $600 out-of-pocket. The fact that they felt the need to bring in someone to talk to me about service refusal was so humiliating. I did not refuse the service; I politely asked if I could have the option to get a regular cleaning (what I came in for), and then come back in for what they were recommending later. This was not an urgent medical procedure. I have good dental hygiene with a little more plaque than the average person, something other dentists have never had an issue with. Allen’s staff were so condescending, manipulative, and rude that I felt like I couldn’t say no any more. I got the deep cleaning just so I could finally leave that office (I should have just signed the service refusal document, because the deep cleaning did not impress me). Now, months later, they keep calling me to come back in. As if I’d ever do that. I’d recommend any other Omaha dentist over Amber Allen; they prey on new patients.
