I don’t often leave reviews but felt compelled to review about the amazing customer experience I had with this car rental. I was traveling with small children which is never easy and after a long and tired day, they were so friendly and helpful with getting us in a car that fit our family and the correct car seats that we needed. We were so impressed with their speediness to get us on our way and made us feel welcome. We will absolutely rent with them in the future!

Trying to get home from Las Vegas to North Platte, our flight from Las Vegas to Denver is delayed, so we miss our connecting flight home, there aren’t any more flights available to North Platte until Wednesday, today is Monday. No big deal, we’ll fly into Kearney and rent a car to drive the 1 1/2 hours home, except when we get to Kearney the Thrifty rental place says that we can’t rent a car and drop it off in North Platte, because the owner of the Kearney Thrifty, and the owner of the North Platte Thrifty are brothers, and they don’t get along. If we dropped it off in North Platte, they would charge us a $500 fee, along with the three day minimum rental. So now we are stuck in Kearney with nowhere to go until someone from North Platte can drive to Kearney to pick us up. There are no restaurants that stay open late enough for us to hang out in, and the airport closes soon, grow up and be responsible business owners, there are people that your juvenile squabbling is affecting besides yourselves!!!!

This has been the worst car rental experience of my life. Don’t ever rent from this smoke and mirrors rip off shop. Ken and Amy charged me $537+ for the nastiest tiny Kia sedan (if you could even call it that) and wanted a $500 drop fee for returning it an hour and a half away in Lincoln, NE. Wouldn’t work with me on any of the charges or dropping the car off early. Highly don’t recommend. Take Uber, hitchhike, or rollerblade. It will be less expensive and less stressful than working with these local scam artists. Even though I booked this car through the Hertz app, they were quick to tell me that they are not corporate Hertz. They are thrifty. Now looking at their other reviews, I see why. Stay far far away.

I was involved in an accident that totaled out my vehicle. I wasn’t sure where to go for a rental, so I called AAA. They recommended Hertz car rental and there was truly a good reason. I was treated with the best customer service, especially by Amy! She went above and beyond what she was required to do and more less helped me get my case started since neither insurance companies were doing anything about it. I was more than impressed with the help I received and the knowledge she had to know exactly what to do and how to get things going. Without her expertise I’d probably still be in the process of getting things done. If you are looking for a place to rent a car, this is your place! Job well done, Amy!

Not sure why so many negative reviews Amy is supper helpfull , I fly in every few months, car allways ready clean and on time , they even go as far as setting a side a car I always get wich is very nice touch

My first review ever goes to this place. I could leave 0 stars I would. Where do I even begin with this experience. unprofessional and getting hung up on the 3 times asking for a receipt for a car I returned on Saturday is ridiculous. Amy and Daren are the worst people to deal with. If you work hard for your money this is not the place to spend it. I reserved a car for two weeks and only needed it for 4 days. I’m being charged for the entire time and told its not there problem that my plans changed. There’s a lot more I dealt with but don’t have the energy to write it all. Fraudulent business.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. The thrifty location in Kearney NE single handedly ruined my honey moon we planned 10 months for. My husband and I started on our road trip and unfortunately had car trouble so we had to opt for a rental in Kearney. They did not tell us 1. There were no credits for early returns 2. There were mileage limitations. I emailed the Kearney office asking if they would allow an early return and they did not respond. My husband called the next day and nicely explained to the owner Darin that if we knew there were mileage limitations we would not have rented the car because it’s purpose was for a road trip. The owner yelled at my husband and hung up on him. Since we were trapped in the vehicle and couldn’t continue with miles, we returned the vehicle after only 4 days of having it causing me to miss out on reservations for activities and hotels that I had booked on our road trip plan 10 months prior. They charged us $2000. This is so unethical and they literally fraudulently took our money during this tough time of Covid and inflation. And on top of them charging us $2000 for 4 days of a vehicle, we lost $1500 in missed reservations on our trip we ended up not finishing. And on top of all of this, I emailed them to ask for a receipt so we could see why they charged so much and they ignored my emails. So my husband called them and asked “if I was in the branch in person would you make me wait 2 days in the lobby for a receipt?” And they said “possibly” and hung up on him. Do not rent from here.

I was charged 30% more than my "estimated cost." The additional tacked on fees were related to driving more than the "free" miles per day. While this was in the fine print no agent either by phone or in person mentioned it to me and my husband. I told the agent I was driving up to far northern NE and even then, the agent was not forthcoming about the additional fees. It was definitely a hidden cost!

Greatest car rental place I have ever been to. Ken, Amy, and and Darrin are the nicest people ever, and super helpful. The car I rented was so unbelievably clean. Whoever detailed the car did such a great job, cleanest car I've been in. He is probably super jacked and handsome. Anyway, definitely recommend this place. Come here if you want to rent a car. They got nice cars and the pricing is good. Couldn't have had a better experience. 5/5
