La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham North Platte

There is a wonderful fenced yard for your dog to run off leash. The rooms are showing signs of age, but linens were great and everything was tidy. A really good place to stop.

I have always loved La Quintas. They are hands down the best hotel to go to when traveling with pets. This one in particular had a little fenced in dog park! Comfortable, clean rooms. 5 star service for sure! And still well within budget.

They have such a nice off leash dog area!! Perfect for dog owners. I didn’t expect much and yet I’m really glad I stayed here. Breakfast was good too, and wifi worked great. I’d say the second floor is a bit smelly though but the room wasn’t so I won’t complain.

We stayed in an "accessible" King suite, and it was one of the best experiences we have ever had at a reasonably priced hotel. The room was spacious, with four comfortable armchairs and a sofa. The bed, pillows and sheets were close to what you would expect in a hotel charging double for their rooms over what LaQuinta Inn and Suites was charging for ours. The bathroom was also quite spacious, probably because they had to include several grab bars to make it safe for elderly people (although we did not need the extra safety precautions, it didn't hurt us to know that they were there if we did), and the "amenities" were high class. The room was very quiet, despite traffic going by not far from the hotel. The free breakfast was excellent and had available just about anything that a guest might desire for breakfast. The staff was very attentive, and provided chocolate chip cookies for the hotel's guests (and "doggie treats" for their four-legged guests). We didn't use the exercise room or the three spacious pools, but they would have been more than adequate if we had need to use them, and the outdoor grounds were quite suitable for taking our miniature poodle for a couple of pleasant walks (including "business" walks). I could probably find a few more positives about our stay at the LaQuinta in North Platte, Nebraska, but I have probably said enough to give a potential guest the earned impression that this hotel is a gem, worth considerably more than what we paid for our night there (and they did not tack on a "pet charge" for allowing our small pet to spend the night with us). If they can keep it up, we will certainly be planning to return, as we often travel between Wisconsin and Colorado, and a stay in North Platte is a very convenient mid-trip stop for us.

This was an unplanned stop driving cross country due to the huge winter storm that crossed the country this week. Highways and secondary roads were closed for 2+ days. My two dogs and I were some of the first to check in when I-80 was closed from North Platte to the Wyoming state line. The Inn was comfortable, clean, spacious, had really nice facilities for pets, a filling breakfast each morning, and the staff were so kind and helpful. I highly recommend this Inn and will use again.

The room was very clean, lots of towels and very comfortable bed. However, checking out was not a nice experience. A young guy with longer hair and glasses checked us out when we left. No smile, barely acknowledged us and never asked how our stay was. Nothing. He barely opened his mouth enough to tell us we were checked out. As a customer service industry like hotels are, anyone who works the desk needs to have people skills. He seemed miserable and we didn't appreciate it. Extremely rude. I'm only giving 3 stars for service because check in and housekeeping were perfectly fine.

Great place to stay. Rooms are large, bathroom as well. Breakfast decent and guy servicing it was fantastic. Pool was okay. Front desk were great. I would of given 5 stars but they keep posting a charge no one knows why. They take it off comes back on.

Good Hotel right off of the interstate. We like the one bedroom suites. Decent standard hotel breakfast, nothing great. Check in was fast. Room clean. Quiet. $30 dog fee is a bit steep. Well tended lawn and parking lot. Security doors work well. Redone lobby and breakfast area is large and above average. Old Chicago is nearby and they accommodated our late arrival with fresh food ready late.

The La Quinta hotel in North Platte, Nebraska was the best hotel of our trip. The staff were very welcoming. It was a beautiful facility and was the very best bang for our buck. We travel with 2 dogs and there was no extra cost for them. The dogs even had a large fenced courtyard where I felt safe to let my dogs run free. Pets are more welcome than any other place we have stayed. I loved everything about this hotel.

This is our semi annual cross country trip with our 2 dogs, one a 12 weeks old puppy. This is the best hotel we ever stay in with the dogs. They have a large fenced dog park so the dogs could run after being stuck in the car all day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The woman in the breakfast area made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. We’ll definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.
