Great food better service (even with a smile). I had the shrimp ceviche tostada and fish tacos. Super fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned.

I am from Ireland and grew up with fresh seafood! So happy we have The Pier in Norfolk. I had two FABULOUS shrimp tacos and my friend had an equally flavorful fish taco and a tostado de ceviche! Service was excellent and friendly! Absolutely bringing my family back to dine! Check it out if you love quality food👍

The Pier is an experience and happy to say it’s an amazing one. Great service with some of the nicest in the food industry. Great location, downtown delight at its finest. Shrimp Quesadilla is my go to but that’s not downing anything else. Give it a try and it might just squeeze into your routine!

Visited on a Saturday evening, food was good but I was severely disappointed by the size and simplicity of the menu. Service was nice but that was mainly because it was just me and my wife in the restaurant. Food was Mexican food with shrimp or fish. I expected a place called the pier to include more seafood options like crab or something. Until they put more on the menu I will not be returning unfortunately.

This review only allows me to give 5 stars but if I could I would give The Pier more! The food was fantastic! My niece is the pickiest eater but she was over the moon for the fried shrimp and fries basket. Their seasoning and sauces were delicious. I had the steak quesadilla- the ribeye steak used was amazing. Everything was just awesome. Definitely a new favorite when I come home to visit.

Sorry but the oysters were terrible! I ordered a dozen and they came to $32. These were the teeniest tiniest oysters I have ever seen. I feel like I should have been warned. They weren't even cleaned well, all full of grit. Also I asked if I could please have a couple lemon slices and she said they were in the sack but there were none. It was noon and there was not one other customer in there, now I see why.

Our first meal here...great staff, great food...the bacon wrapped shrimp is to die for...had our anniversary lunch there!!! We got a special treat at the end❤️

The food here is absolutely phenomenal! We went in and tried a lot of different things today: Crab dip - real crab! Shrimp ceviche tostada - so very fresh. Spicy garlic shrimp - topped with beautiful pico. Ribeye beef quesadilla - tender and juicy. Bacon wrapped shrimp - a little sweet with coconut rice. Shrimp taco - squeeze that lime on it, yum! Mozzarella sticks - comes with what I think is a honey mustard sauce that compliments them so well. Chocolate cake - really liked the shaved bits on top. Churro - warm and filled with a caramel that is divine. Everything was so delicious. I am really excited to go back and try more items from their menu. There aren't too many impressive places in Norfolk, but I left The Pier a very happy girl.

First timer... Crab dip and tostadas as appetizer.. Shrimp Taco and Shrimp Fajitas. Flavor was good. Kinda spendy. Can honestly say, we will not be heartbroken if we don't go back. Hate saying that, love supporting our restaurants.

As first time customers, we were recommended to get the bacon wrapped shrimp and fish taco. We thought the steak taco sounded good to we added that too. Before we got our meal, we were curious about the Horchata. We always get excited to see horchatas on the menu but this time, it wasn't a good experience. It had way too much cinnamon imo. But other than that, service was fast, food was amazing and everyone was friendly. Place was super clean and spacious too! Overall, would highly recommend for everyone!
