The 411 Restaurant and Lounge

1 star for the atmosphere. It's a modern, cozy, welcoming location. Another star for the great staff they had. They were thoughtful and top notch but the service was slow even though the restaurant only had 3 tables at the time. Now for the food, the ingredients are good quality but poorly executed. The wings are not krispy. They were a soggy mess with bland flavors. The steak was beautifully ❤️ presented but the flavors were one dimensional. The vegetables were missing any kind of flavor. The cocktail they have try to take from the modern spicy infused with sweet flavors but they miss the mark. Instead of completing each other they are just lost leaving you with some bad jungle juice in college. The beer though, I am not a beer lover but the beers they had a tap are to rave for but they have a better selection across the street. It's a shame because Norfolk needs more restaurants like these but they are just missing the mark with their food.

Amazing little gem of a restaurant we found with well crafted cocktails, fantastic food selection, and even friendlier staff! Highly recommended and will definitely come back

Good service and a very clean and pleasant restaurant. I had a poor experience with a takeout order but they were very busy. The staff is extremely friendly and seem to be trying their best. Management reached out to me about my experience and I appreciate the customer service and will dine with them again.

Great food and quiet atmosphere make for a wonderful evening with friends.

Service was slow. Waitress took 40 minutes just to bring drinks. And not all at once. Brought two than took another 5 minutes before brought the other two. 2 tables came in after use got food before us even after we ordered our food first. Kept forgetting to bring more drinks and side dishes or condiments all came at different times. Felt they had plenty of help just not organized well. Food was just ok nothing special. First time there. Not in any hurry to go back. Prices are high for the service and food quality they serve. Not terribly busy to justify any service issues. Was nice atmosphere. Was expecting better service and food.

Kay our server was amazing. She was jovial and had a great attention to detail. The food, we had breakfast, was amazing! The coffee was rich and smooth. Norfolk truly needed a place to eat some delicious and nutritious breakfast. Thank you 411 for filling the void! We tried the new pumpkin spice bread this morning, Wow!

We go to 411 every year for our annual dinner with friends. It is for sure the best restaurant in town. The first year was amazing. The menu hasn’t really changed over the years which is a bit disappointing. Staff isn’t trained well to serve at a higher class restaurant. For example, they don’t offer specials to the guests. They don’t offer drinks that would go well with the meals which is something me as a guest would appreciate. Staff dress code is inappropriate. If I wanted to see half naked girls wearing crop tops and leggings, I would fly myself to Hooters. For the money you pay, you deserve a classy service and I think that this is the biggest area of improvement. Just because Norfolk is a smaller town, it shouldn’t mean that standards should be lower. As for food, nothing in town can compare to the food at 411. The food is visually appealing, tasty, and well thought out. I will eat there again and I hope I get to see some positive changes.

This place has potential but not having several items on the menu on a Friday night is not acceptable. Hot apps were good but we did not stay for dinner due a list of items they were out of. Not sure how a place like this is in Norfolk, it definitely has a Benson/Omaha vibe. Staff is super friendly. Full bar with phenomenal drink menu. Kitchen is a bit slow but they said they are short staffed today. Prices are much higher than I would pay for the same food in Omaha, but I'm ok with it seeing as the alternatives were fast food or typical diner food. The $6 Bloody Mary is likely the best one I've ever had and the pickle in it tasted homemade but the staff said it is from a jar. Best pickle I've ever had in a bloody Mary. I can usually throw back a few brunch drinks but this one packs a boozy punch in a good way. You definitely get your money's worth. I ordered the breakfast burrito and french fries. Don't come here on a Sunday if you are in a rush. There was some mistake in submitting my order because after waiting for 45 minutes the waitress realized the kitchen didn't have my order. I didn't have time to wait so they gave me my drink for free. I'm bummed I didn't get to try the food. 3 stars for the excellent drink, cool vibes, and friendly service. Everyone makes mistakes, I used to be a server and I've done it. I would come back and give it another shot next time I'm in town.
