Sakura Sushi & Steak House

Wide ranging menu. Japanese cuisine plus steaks. Sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, tempura, and hibachi meals. Large portions. Friendly wait staff. They serve alcohol. A bit pricey but well worth it. Would have to drive 90 miles to Omaha to find a similar restaurant.

Very good food. The prices may be a little higher than your average restaurant for the area, but it's a great value.

Opted for the booth side. Sushi was alright, didn’t like that they didn’t have sauces on them so they were a bit dry. Charged xtra for a small side of eel sauce which I thought was strange considering It was a very small amount. Clear soup was good. Overall we tried 3 sushi rolls and really wasn’t impressed. Also got the fried rice which wasn’t too flavorful, it needed salt for sure.. so a little soy sauce helped it. Had lots of veggies. We will be back to try the hibachi grill sometime.

I came here many time and they still good. I mostly come here by myself and today I order something new,so will share some pictures for Google review.

This was a good choice for dinner. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere to it. A little warm temperature wise. The staff is pretty speedy and attentive. Drinks came to the table fast. I ordered the green dragon roll and the husker roll. Both had a quality presentation value and came out looking fresh. The taste was great as well, alot of flavor. I also ordered the octopus sashimi which I liked and the squid sashimi which I didn't like the texture of. I also got two glasses of plum wine which hinted flavors aiming towards a port style wine, and it was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant. A+

I’ve been to a lot of sushi restaurants and Japanese steakhouses, and this one is possibly the worst. The rolls are overpriced and small, they lack the quality and creativity of other sushi restaurants, but they’re all at a premium price. Sadly, Sakura opts to include nonstandard filler to their rolls like iceberg lettuce (this remains a uniquely Midwestern sushi oddity), making the high price all the more confusing, and they fail to offer common sushi accoutrements like White Sauce (a/k/a Yum-Yum, Pink, Sakura, Seafood, or Japanese Seafood Sauce), which has been a standard staple at every other Japanese steakhouse I’ve ever visited. We spent approximately $60 per person, and were disappointed and still hungry when we all left. The appetisers and soup were also only mediocre; the miso soup was flavourless and small, and the other appetisers we ordered were also small portions and soaked in grease. After Sakura, the party I usually meet in Norfolk and I have decided to give Norfolk restaurants a pass for the next few months. If you’re in the mood for sushi, pick it up at the grocery store; Norfolk has a few hits, but Sakura is most definitely a ‘miss’.

I have going to this place for a long time. Sakura Bana used to be located on the North Side of the Children Hospital in Omaha, NE it was name Sushi Ichiban. The place is small but the atmosphere is unique and the foods are very authentic. I highly recommend the place for good sushi. They are moved now on 72nd and Dodge.

A little update would be great but the food and service are always wonderful and the servers and cooks and the owners are fabulous people! Definitely a wonderful addition of the community! If you go, try the salmon. It is always so good!

Amazing experience and the food was delicious. We just went again last night for my daughter's birthday and it was so much fun. She got to light the fire in the beginning! Service and food was fantastic.
