This woman has a heart of gold. Any time you have animals, there is an odor - it doesn't mean they can't get a grooming job done! As far as the person (Starstruck2011) saying they "gav e me a dog we weren't aloud to have and it died because of that reason of i could give I 0 stars I would", WHY would you take an animal you were not allowed to have?? And, why did it die? "it died because of that reason", doesn't make any sense!! Overwhelmed, described by one person, and that is true!!! And the reason that might be is because people don't get their animals spayed or neutered and there are animals dumped, all the time!! The police take the animals they pick up to Puppy Love! They don't take them to the new place that has gotten THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of dollars AND services DONATED, to get the thing up and running!!!!! YES, MONEY AND SERVICES!!! Has ANYONE done that for Brenda???? PEOPLE IN THIS COMMUNITY SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!!

I had taken my dog here once and he seemed to be okay. The conditions are definitely not the best as it is very crowded. I had also gone to look at the dogs in cages and it reeked of feces. The dogs did not look maintained and it hurt my heart.

Absolutely awful living conditions. I almost vomited from the stench of urine not only in the main office but in the kennel rooms. The dogs looked underfed and dirty. Not to mention they were wallowing in their own filth. I would shut it down if I had the authority. Horrible horrible place!

We adopted Maggie here on April 13th, 2019. She is the sweetest fur baby! We love her beyond words! Maggie even got a free hair cut before we picked her up. Thank you for this sweet pup!

This is the best place to find a new dog or have your dog groomer. We are over the road truck drivers and we just adopted our newest family member from there today. It takes a big heart lots of work and love to be able to do this type of work. Very friendly and very much wants the best for the animal and the human. I recommend them very highly

Took dog to be boarded while out of town for weekend. Came back to an anemic dog that had his nails trimmed way past where they are supposed to be so he had terrible pain and bleeding after two days. Had to take him to the vet because he went from having liquid diahrea to pooping straight blood the evening we got home.he was lethargic and did not want to go to his kennel and acted like he had been severly mistreated. Was told of two incidents that happened while he was there but not until after we contacted her to see if anything had happened and that we were taking him to the vet. Was reassured by Brenda that she would take care of the bill. When I took the bill to her the smell was beyond bad and she said she would get it back to me. Now totally different story from Brenda again. DO NOT EVER TAKE A LOVED FAMILY MEMBER TO THIS PLACE!!! I have never had such a terrible experience and have boarded my pets many times in many different locations while traveling. Very very very disappointed in this place. Again even though the price is good do not take your pets here!!!! AGAIN WARNING DO NOT GO TO PUPPY LOVE

I'm editing my review from 10 months ago, not to change my rating, I still rate them at five stars! What I want to say, is in reading the reviews, make sure you read the most recent first. Although I don't agree with any of the bad reviews, even from years ago, most of the reviews recently are all good. I have adopted all of my pets from Brenda except for my pure breeds, and they have all been the most loving, special members of our family. I was blessed to have them. And they all lived to be ripe old ages without any medical conditions. As far as the cleanliness of her business? I challenge anyone to clean up after 20 or 30 pets 24 hours a day. Could you do it? Especially when she is alone or maybe with only one person working with her at a time. That's a big task for anyone. Like one person said, I think she deserves all the funding that the humane society receives considering she's doing the same thing. And I believe she's giving them more personal attention than they receive there. And she's been around as long as I can remember. She's done amazing things for me. I found a kitten once that was only 3 weeks old which was decided by our vet Dr Stevenson. This little girl was blind and not weaned when I found her. I talked to Brenda and she took this little kitten in and put her with a nursing mother so that the mother could nurse her and wean her as she should have been. Would the humane society have done that? Maybe for a price. Brenda charged me nothing! So before you go badmouthing her, or listening to all the reviews from years ago, check out the pets she has available. They are the most loving, friendly, healthy hopeful additions to your family you can find. Janna (Beeken) Klug

I was not very nice! I was told a certain time frame if someone did not claim a dog then I could adopt him, well that was not true. And those poor animals!! It stinks to high heaven, small cages,no fenced area for them to get out of there and exercise. Kittens with runny poo in their cages!! I'm sorry but the place is HORRIBLE and there needs to be a better place for those animals to go, or there needs to be some BIG changes to make it more hospitable to the animals. Not happy at all that I was told I could adopt the dog and I go all the way out there and then told I couldn't adopt the dog, when it was after the 72 hour time frame!! I will adopt somewhere else and please help those animals someone

The first time I went there I was instantly greeted by many horrible smells. The kennels were completely dirty, filled with fecal matter and urine. The animals don’t have an area to run. The employee who was “taking care of the animals” was smoking a cigar, while INSIDE…. Wish these animals had a better place to go. It’s a shame they get as good of ratings as they do because so many animals are mistreated and living in horrible, unhealthy conditions.

We adopted a beautiful Pitt Bull pup, she was so gentle and fit into our family beautifully. We have an Autistic son and she adores him.
