Hy-Vee Grocery Store

Checking out at the grocery store I approach the belt to put on my groceries as the cashier at Register 7 is yelling at his bagger. The cashier tells his bagger "just shut up and let me do my job. You are the bagger and I am the cashier, shut up." I thought to myself you SNOT. No one should speak to anyone like that, especially in front of customers!! The cashier was mad at the bagger and was quickly sliding my items down the belt with force to his bagger. He cracked my pie crust because of that action. Cashiers and baggers are on the same type of employment level. No one is higher than the other. I made a call and spoke to the front end manager and reported this action to him. He told me that what the cashier did was unacceptable and that he would pull him aside. He told me that I could come back and get a new pie crust but it was a zoo there so I made it work. It could have been prevented if he didn't act like that!! Thank you Hy-Vee East manager for taking care of this but my experience at this Hy-Vee was not good. Unacceptable!

I love the people at Hy-Vee East! They're helpful and friendly. The prices aren't always as low as other places, but I spend it anyway. If I have ever wished they had a product I couldn't find, they're always good at looking it up and getting it. The pharmacy people are super helpful. I've been going there for a long time, and see no reason to switch.

A great place to go to but my only concern is that this specific Hy-Vee seems to not be "up to par" with it's counterpart across town. Otherwise, vast selection, nice staff, and competitive prices.

Hy Vee east has unfortunately gone down over rhe years in customer service, friendliness, smile in every aisle doesn't exist. It's unfortunate since they are the only store on the east side of town. I've tried to help by reporting what I see, but same stuff happens continuously. I only use rhem for what I have to...

Kinda pricey, but it is close to my apartment. Great downtown location. Can find great Deals if you look at fliers or on their app!

I used their grocery pickup service for the first time. I had issues with the site, however, when I tried to set up a pick up time. When the time came close to pick them up it would say I didn't schedule it. So I called and was advised to use the app (Hy-Vee aisles online) and it worked! I went to pick up my groceries at the scheduled time and they were quick, polite, and I didn't even have to get out of my car! Great experience overall!

Hard to get them to stock products not seen on the shelf like cook and serve coconut cream pudding , Hebrew national etc. IOn this day I also sat down to have a meal with my wife ala carte the breaded pork tenderloin was cold and tough I ordered Chinese for my wife and the Rangoon's we're terrible and old

Went to the restaurant in Hyvee for breakfast on Saturday. Sat an hour and finally was able to find the waitress to ask where our food was. We knew there might be a bit of a wait on game day. She then told us that she forgot to put on the order & that it would be about 30 more minutes. How in 1 hr did she never realize that out of her 4 tables 1 who had gotten there before all the others never got served?

I love Hy-vee. They have amazing produce. You can get a great hot meal for you and your family. Huge selection of sliced fresh meat, salads, different breads, bakery items, and butcher shop items. It's all fresh.

Friendly staff. Clean store. Great selection.
