This is the worst company I have ever seen, extremely unprofessional. I got locked out of my car and was stranded in the middle of Nebraska. I had to walk an hour and a half back home and they didn’t even give me my money back. Whatever you do, do not purchase a zipcar. THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

Zipcar is a scam. Their gas card does not work at any gas stations. At the brink of my ending time, gas card didn't work, ended up paying for gas myseld and was not able to extend my trip before I got back as their app was supposedly "under maintainence." I ended up paying 80 dollars for a mere 2 hour 15 mile trip. Please don't choose zipcar if you are under the illusion that you can get a car for just 8-9 dollars an hour.

They never have enough vehicles for use considering they are strategically placed in a collage town. I remember around 2016 there were at least 4- 5 cars but as of today, August 2019, only one is ever available. I think they need to re-evaluate their business model if they intend to draw more customers. Ride share services like Uber and Lyft are doing pretty well, I don’t see why they can’t have enough cars. Also the gas card never works. Just be prepared to fill up the tank and request a reimbursement from them. This may or may not come back to you as driving credit.
