To their credit, the staff are friendly and enjoyed working with our dogs, which is why I’m giving them 2 stars instead of 1. I’m glad to hear other people are getting the care their animals deserve, because I don’t think we did. Our dog was having issues eating, so we took him to the closest vet, Vintage Heights Animal Hospital. Nothing could be definitively figured out via x-rays, which I believe cost somewhere around $150 for the day, so they decided to observe for the next several days. More x-rays were taken each day for four days and a grand total of $2100. On the last day (Friday), it was finally decided to do exploratory surgery, which would be another $2000. But other appointments ran over and he had to be referred to the emergency hospital across town. The emergency procedure goes well and they tell us that he had 17 inches of his intestines resected because they were so swollen, absolutely nothing could get through. OUR DOG COULD NOT DIGEST FOOD AND IT TOOK FOUR DAYS OF OBSERVATION TO DETERMINE MAYBE SURGERY IS NECESSARY. The removed parts of his intestines were sent in for testing and came back cancerous. Some options were laid out for us, and we needed a day to discuss everything. When I called back to discuss our options more on the next business day during regular hours, I got an answering machine. I left a message, and nobody ever returned my call. Again, my dog was diagnosed with CANCER, and nobody would return a call to discuss the treatment options that were given to us. Our final bad experience came just recently when we brought both of our dogs in for a rabies vaccine shot. We figured this would be a simple, in and out appointment. After checking in (five minutes late, which was my fault), I waited another 10-15 minutes in the parking lot before someone came to get our dogs. A few minutes later, a staff member came out and said that because our second dog had never been here before, they would have to do a regular exam in addition to the vaccine. That would have been nice to know when I made the appointment, that’s $50 I wasn’t planning on spending that day. Even though our old vet is literally across town now, we’ll be taking our dogs back to them going forward.

10/10 best vet in town. They always have taken care of our dog and provided complete explanation of what they are doing each and every time. Very happy with the care they provide.

Dr Jim is the best vet I've ever had.

We always feel at home here. The parking lot entrance is tricky though.

My whole family has had stellar experiences with Vintage Heights. The vets and techs are so loving toward our fur babies and understanding and patient when dealing with us mommies. I highly recommend.

I’ve only been to Vintage Heights twice. The first time, I had an excellent experience and they were able to squeeze my cat in for an emergency dental. I had such a good experience that I actually made the decision to switch both of my cats over to Vintage Heights permanently. I just completed a visit with my other cat today in preparation for a dental and am literally writing this review from their parking lot. I will never be returning here again. The short/female/brunette tech with shoulder length hair (whose name I did not catch) that I met with prior to Dr. Luke confused the information I provided about which wet food (pro plan) vs dry food (wellness) I feed them and wrote them down the opposite way (which isn’t a big deal at all). However, Dr. Luke pointed it out to her in the back after he left the exam room and she loudly stated “I ASKED HER WHICH WET FOOD! and she said (changing her voice and tone to a whiny, child-like sounding one to mock me [except my voice doesn’t sound like that]) ummmmm wellness”. The walls are very thin in this establishment and clients can hear everything that is said in the back from the exam room they are in. I have never been so offended by a place that I put my trust into to care for my pets and that this level of unprofessionalism is remotely tolerated. Bottom line- staff here are unprofessional and how dare they insinuate a client provided incorrect information and then proceed to audibly mock them. Save your time and money with this place and find somewhere you’ll be respected. Recommendation to VH: Fix your walls or lower your voice before you speak poorly about a client again. Really disappointed.

Today we took our loving dog Stevie in since it was time to let him go. The staff there was so caring and my wife and I felt comfort in such a hard time for us. Thanks for your care and thanks for being our family vet.

My dogs love visiting Vintage Heights Veterinary Clinic. No matter if it is just for grooming or something more serious. We are always able to get an appointment in a timely manner. I know my furry loved ones are in the best hands with friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Dr Luke is amazing with both of my dogs and their individual needs. The techs are also amazing and have helped one of my babies feel more comfortable (she’s always nervous at the vet)! Dr Luke is so kind and friendly I’m his interactions and you can tell how much he really cares!! He is not pushy, but gives you all options. I couldn’t be happier with the care we’ve received!
