The Dryer Vent Dude, Inc.

Mixed feelings on this one. My husband set up the appointment & discussed details of the job/request. But I felt like The Dude didn't know what was expected when he showed up. And obviously I did not know because I was not the one who set up the appointment. So I asked him what he was here for he said an inspection. So we started there. He said he would never recommend anyone to clean their vent unless he thought that they really needed it. So we turned on my dryer and then went outside to check air flow. He said air flow was fine. I had asked him about replacing or fixing the outer vent piece because there was a gap between the cover and the house. He suggested that I caulk around it. I then asked him what else he needed. His reply "did you want your vent cleaned?". I went ahead and said yes because it had never been done since I have owned the house. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to get it done. Later that day I had a conversation with my husband to get the full details on this appointment and what he had discussed with this company. He told me he specifically hired him to come out clean the vent and fix the outer vent piece that was outside. After I told my husband what had happened he had mixed feelings on this as well. 1. Why comment that you will only clean vents if it's needed. 2. The vent cleaning was not initially recommended during the inspection. But I was asked if I would like it done after I went through a series of prompted questions? (What else do you need to look at? what else do you need access to? what else do you need to do....) 3. My husband specifically hired this company to clean so why would I even have to go through steps 1 and 2? Really nice guy though. He said my air flow was good before the cleaning, and after the cleaning I was told it was 40% better. So I'm glad I had this done. I was a little curious to see how much lint had been in there since the last six years that I have owned this house, but I never got a picture of it like it was mentioned. Either way, whatever lent was in there should now be gone. And I plan on keeping up a schedule to have it cleaned out more frequently.

My dryer was starting to do the emergency shut off and I was discovering black soot in my lint trap. So I googled Dryer Vent cleaning and The Dryer Vent Dude appeared. Steve was highly rated so I gave him a call and he showed up a few days later and took a look at my dryer. He told me how I can clean the lint trap and then he cleaned the vent and replaced the vent cover with a new one. Steve got the job done quickly and effectively. The price was fair and he was very professional. I’ll be using the services again each year for continued maintenance. Highly recommend The Dryer Vent Dude!

I made an appointment with Steve and he arrived on time and ready to clean my dryer vent. He inspected our vent and kindly told us that we didn't need it cleaned. I will definitely call him again when I need his service. He is a business owner with integrity. So glad I called him.

We've used the Dryer Vent Dude three times. Steve Schwaller is friendly, professional, and very helpful. The last time he visited, he said that we didn't really need our vent cleaned, and didn't even charge for the visit. His past work when we actual did need cleaning, was well done. Whoever thought there was such a thing as a dryer vent dude...til you need one! Steve is great. I didn't know who to call as no one in my area wanted to answer my questions or even take a look at my issue. Took a leap of faith and called Steve. We live out of his service area, however, he answered all my questions, asked for pictures and directed us the best way to vent our dryer. Very professional and knowledgable. He didn't even bill me, just shared his knowledge as a courtesy. Can't say enough good things about Steve and his knowledge of dryer vents! I highly recommend him, he knows his stuff!

Steve with The Dryer Vent Dude was very helpful with getting right down to the issues we had with our dryer vent. He was upfront about his processes, pricing and possible follow up visits. He cleaned out the dryer vent from the laundry room to the outside vent. I would recommend Steve and his company to anyone who needs their dryer vent inspected and cleaned.

Steve was absolutely wonderful. He showed up on time and was 100% honest about our dryer. It did not need a cleaning and he didn’t charge us for coming out to look at it. He also gave us some great advice for the future. I would recommend Steve to anyone for any dryer needs or just questions in general regarding their dryer. Steve, The Dryer Vent Dude is an honest, upstanding man. I appreciated his honesty, quickness, thoroughness and trustworthiness. He was on time, friendly, down to business and had my dryer vent issue fixed within 10 minutes. He did not force extra services or overcharge for his services. He even offered a free inspection in a year to make sure everything was looking good. I will only call Steve for repair and maintenance going forward. You can't find that kind of reliability and honesty anymore. Thanks Steve! You ARE the best!

Steve and Kevin were wonderful! They were able to squeeze me into their schedule last minute and fix my dryer venting in less than an hour. They were quick, efficient and were able to fix the problem with only minor changes to the house! Steve was also informative about upkeep and the different processes at his disposal to fix the issue all while being very personable; definitely easy to work with. 5/5 would recommend to anyone that needs dryer venting help!
