Honest Abe's - Downtown

Picked up burgers and salad here for lunch on our last day in Lincoln, Nebraska. Best meal we could have picked for the road-trip out. My fiance and I both got the Esther's Tropical Misadventure - mine was grilled chicken patty and his was beef. Toppings: Canadian Bacon, Orange Marmalade, Spinach, Potato Sticks, Marley Sauce (mayonnaise/sour cream/jerk seasoning/lime/spices). To be honest, we both loved our burgers. Only difference between them was that the chicken breast was more dense and burger felt more substantial. His absolutely just melted away (in a good way). All the toppings went so well together with the burger. We were not expecting that - But I guess considering this is the 4th, Honest Abe's experience we've had, We should have known it would be good. We also got side salads with Abe's dressing. I usually go for the sweet apple vinaigrette but went for Abe's this time after realizing that it was a subtle curry flavored dressing. Such a good one!

Quick service. Delicious burger and fries. I will definitely return.

Always has the best burgers, great fries and a friendly staff. It is always fun to see what new burgers they have. Can't recommend this place enough.

I LOVE abes. However i was definitely disappointed by my visit tonight. My fries were overcooked and although i asked for awesome sauce both online and in person, i was given abes sauce. i mean, seriously, i go to abes at least once a week. my 1809 (or rotating burger), parm fries and awesome sauce are always perfect! which is why this time was disappointing! obviously im still going to be back, who could resist lol

Amazingly delicious juicy burgers. Got the awesome sauce on the side and ended up putting it back on the burger.lol. so hard to find juicy burgers ❤❤

THANK YOU for having gluten free buns! I am currently on a restrictive diet and it's hard to find anything I can eat that I don't prepare myself. The staff was very knowledgeable about their ingredients and cooking process and easily helped me find food that I could have. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. Thank you for being so inclusive of special dietary needs, thank you for being knowledgeable employees, and thank you for being delicious!

Delicious! The bread was so soft and the flavors were amazing. The picture is the Hammer of Thor hamburger. I also got a Bananarama smoothie, which was one of the best banana pie shakes I've ever had, and the Pretty Nest salad, which had a great chicken salad as the protein. Slightly too much cranberries, but delicious nonetheless. Didn't even need salad dressing.

Great food in an open, trendy, fun environment. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The food is next level. Try the pistachio salad. It’s insanely delicious. The location is convenient and easy to locate.

Good burgers with ample fries on the side! Friendly staff and lots of dining tables and booths (and bathrooms) on the second floor (not sure if there is access, for wheelchairs). Preferred the Firestone (Fireside?) burger versus the classic burger.

11/06/2021. The burgers were ok. We ordered 4 different types and only one was somewhat tasty - the 1809. Not particularly fast with serving the food the buns were actually not warm when we ate it. The sandwiches do not come with fries. I have eaten better burgers in Nebraska for less.
